increased until Nov 3rd when he was up to one capsule before each meal. During

that time, he seemed to be doing well with them. So, on Nov 5, I added HNI Zyme

Prime at evening meal only. Today, he had AFP-Pep w/ breakfast and lunch and

then both at dinner.

he's had less gas, but two incidents of diarrhea and one accident (involuntary

when passing gas and it was very watery, almost no solids).

I don't yet. This is all new to me. We've been CF since mid Sept and GF since

Oct 4.

You might try the Zyme Prime without papain and bromelain. Not the HN one.

Try increasing the yeast protocol, see if that helps. Or, drop the ZP and order

the one without papain/bromelain.

This meant yeast at my house.

The ones he took are the ones without papain and bromelain. Sorry for the

confusion, I put HNI in the description to indicate the brand.

I think we may try the TriEnza chewables since he's not able to swallow

capsules anyway. We'll start from scratch and build up to the full dosage on

that and see how it goes.

Thanks!

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but it is our experience

that it is possible to develop a sensitivity to Trienza and No Fenol and other

enzymes from Houston Labs. The reaction involved excessive gas, diarrhea,

sleep disturbance and depression and developed after about 12 days of the

low and slow method. It was confirmed by a sublingual pulse test (pulse

went up 30 beats per minute after having a little of the enzyme in the mouth

for a minute). When the Enzymedica enzymes, such as Digest Basic and

Gastro were tested sublingually on the same day, there was no reaction and they

were subsequently used and tolerated. I'm wondering if Enzymedica's

product is more highly purified and this is the explanation?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

My son was not able to tolerate Houston Enzymes because of the flavoring, fruit

issues. This was the chewables. We have had no issues with Enzymedica but

haven't tried Houston Capsules.
