Guest guest
I was at a conference a few weeks ago where Mathews was speaking and she said to stay away from corn all together if at all possible, but if you have to have it, eat organic whole corn and stay away from canned anything! Guest guest
Corn is a genetically modified food. After reading about it, I don't touch it anymore, except organic. My good friend's son develop an anaphylactic allergy to it. My husband grew up in Mexico and came here when he was 34 yrs. old. He grew up eating corn everyday. He now gets hives when he eats the corn here, but does OK with blue corn and organic - I buy some for popcorn and also eat blue corn chips at times. When we go back to Mexico on vacation, my husband doesn't get hives with corn at all. So my personal conclusion is that the reaction (at least in our family) is to the genetic modification, not the natural corn itself. One more thing - many of us crave what we are allergic to. My daughter CRAVED milk, and she has an allergy to it, per testing. When we took her off it at age 4 (shortly after her diagnosis with ASD), the first week was hard! Guest guest
Yes, removing corn can cause withdrawal symptoms. We had to do it and stay off of it. It's rough for a few days but much better after that. Mark > > > > > My friend recently tried removing all corn from her son's diet for 3 > days.
