Guest guest
We used to go to the chiropractor and it was good for all of us. My daughter's scoliosis improved and we all felt better, but I didn't really notice major improvements and it was expensive so we stopped because I felt like my dollars would have more impact somewhere else. -Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Stay at home mom to 3, Wife to -6-6-02-Autism Spectrum, the light of my life Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy J.D-no issues except he is totally in love with mommy, cutest baby in the world visit my blog http://busiestmommyinamerica.blogspot.com " If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart! We just started doing Chiropractic for our son (just turned 4) he has had 6 adjustments so far and we haven't noticed anything. His seasonal allergies are worse than ever this year, extremely puffy eyes with Benadryl and Claritin providing hardly any relief. For anyone that uses a Chiropractor can you tell me what it helped with, how long before you noticed it was working, etc. We are hoping it will help with his low muscle tone and allergies as we have heard good things from others. TIA! Lynn
Guest guest
We have used an osteopathic doctor for cranial sacral and for osteopathic manipulation. With both therapies, we got a great release of toxins (bad behavior for a day, but then relief). Our son has a chiari that we found out about later, so we quit the cranial for now because we weren't sure of the impact with the chiari and didn't want to take any chances messing with CSF fluid. Both were covered by insurance. Certain states are bigger in osteopathy than others. Michigan happens to be a great one. Our insurance covers it, which is AWESOME. I felt it was worth it, and we'd probably still be doing it if not for the concern about the chiari. Guest guest
Hi, I am in the same boat. We just started about 3 weeks ago and have been going 2x/week. She is more of a wellness chiropractor. We haven't noticed much either but I just think we need to give it a little more time, but it is very expensive! Our insurance will not cover it and we are paying over $100 a week. I really believe in it but just not sure how long to keep it up. We stopped our MB12 shots for about 2 months now and do notice a little downward slide but not sure if it is that or just a rut he is in. I think I want to start them up again. The chiro also has been giving us supplements but it has been hard to get my son to take it so often. Anyway good luck! > > We just started doing Chiropractic for our son (just turned 4) he has had 6 adjustments so far and we haven't noticed anything. Guest guest
Sara, Can you tell me, please, where in Michigan you have found this osteopathic doctor? Thanks Enrica ________________________________ We have used an osteopathic doctor for cranial sacral and for osteopathic manipulation. Guest guest
Thanks for the replies everyone. We had our 8th adjustment today. Our insurance covers 12 visits, after that the adjustments are $40 each time we go. In the plan that he has written up for him it will be like $2100 for a year of treatment that we are responsible for. That is a lot of $$ when we are already doing so many other things and hoping to be doing HBOT soon. I plan on doing the remaining 4 adjustments and then maybe another month of 12 visits that we pay for to see if we get results. If after that we aren't seeing anything we will probably take a break from it because we really want to do something for muscle tone and HBOT seems to be a good option for that. > > > > We just started doing Chiropractic for our son (just turned 4) he has had 6 adjustments so far and we haven't noticed anything.
