And which supplements? And how much do you give of each if that is the case? A combination of supplements, given for about a year or so here. See link above. Guest guest
Hi Dana, I looked up your mito-cocktail link as well. Does the formulation have to have all of the ingredients together? I was thinking of starting small with Acetyl-L_carnitine and Co-Q-10. My kids take a multimineral supplement that has selenium and zinc. Does this work? Thanks for your help. Warm regards, Anjana > > > > Dana, I can't find on your site that specifically talks about what a mito cocktail is or what's in it or how to administer it...can you provide me with a link on your site...if you have a designated area on your site. > > > Try this one > > http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm > > > > Can you tell me what your definition of a mito cocktail is? Not necessarily, it depends on the child. >>I was thinking of starting small with Acetyl-L_carnitine and Co-Q-10. Those two generally tend to be the most required for most kids. My son also required taurine as a " requirement " . But you can start with those two, see how it works for your child. Dana
Guest guest
Hello Dana, Thank you for the reply. My son's urine analysis showed an off the scale excessive count for Taurine. Not sure what that meant. Everything else was not too bad. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks again! Best, Anjana > > > > Hi Dana, I looked up your mito-cocktail link as well. Guest guest
Hi, Wherer did you get taurine levels tested? I would like to before we start the mito cocktail too. Thanks, Susi

Unless you were supplementing at the time of the test, I would guess this test result might mean it was not being properly absorbed, it was just being excreted in the urine. Guest guest
Hi All, Thanks for your responses. Dana, you said what I was suspecting as well. The high Taurine was an absorption issue, so we have started on his digestive tract health. The strange thing is my 2nd child who is possibly autistic seems to have better digestive health than the ADHD child. I am baffled by that a bit. We got the Taurine level reading from a Neurotransmitter profile testing using urine sample. We asked our regular ped for it because our first, , has ADHD issues.
