Hello Group:

Today I went to see my Neurologist and because I am

still having pain and and a hardness sensation on the

bottom of my feet as well as tightness and numbness

throughout my body his suggestion was for me to go on

the Amitriptyline, I am curious to know if anyone here

has had experience with this drug and if there is any

interactions using it with LDN. I also forgot to ask

him if it is safe to use seeing as I have a Mitral

Valve Prolapse. ( leaky heart Valve and Palpitations)

I am interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on this

subject. I am dealing with MS and have reduced my LDN

from 4.5 to 3.0 because of symptoms. I have been on

LDN now for almost 6 months.

Thanks everyone.

Hi Suzie, I took amitriptyline for years. It worked and I had no side effects. I have never taken LDN but I may start soon. I have MS and Crohn's. I took it for the Crohn's but stopped because the disease is pretty much in remission, so I didnt need it anymore. Hope this helps.Suzzie B <next2max@...> wrote: Hello Group:Today I went to see my Neurologist and because I amstill having pain and and a hardness sensation

is amitriptyline a presciption med, or considered a supplement? and...what was it originally used for? sometimes, a med/supplement is originally used for one thing; but, we find it works for other problems, too!!

, Amitrptyline is an anti - depressant , and usually for pain control you are only given 10mgs whereas the usual dose is about 40 or 50mgs for depression, I take the 10mg dose for pain and also LDN, I have had no adverse affects, at least, not that I know of!!:-))

I have been taking both for over a year now, Ldn for over 2 1/2 years

and Amitriptyline HCl 25 MG for over a year now. I have had no side

affects just the oppisite I feel much better. I am on a 4.5 dose if

LDn and still get a few days of " stiffness " within 6-8 weeks. I was

put on Amitrip for depression and to help me sleep. I was put on some

of the others for depression and had bad reactions to them. I really

like this combo, for me it works great.

Hi Amitriptyline is a prescription medication used now

for neurological pain. Originally used as an

antidepressant in a higher dosage.
