A reference list for DAN! doctors?

Hi,

I am a new member of the group and I have a 20 mo. old son.

I tried to check the archieves but could not find any messages about

this topic so wanted to ask the group. Is there a blog or a site or

any type of recommendation list where parents share their experiences

about their DAN! doctors?

While I am very new to DAN! approach, I understand that making the

right decision to find a good DAN! is one of the most important steps

for our children's treatments.

For example, we live in NJ & NY area and I see many names when I look

at DAN! lists available on the websites but cannot find any further

information about parents' individual experiences like a patient

review.

I will appreciate a lot if you can give me a hand to help about where

to find a recommendation list (if there is any) or share with me your

individual experiences with any DAN! doctors in NJ & NY area.

June check out Dr. Ken Bock. I read his book Healing the New Childhood

Epidemics--Autism,ADHD,Asthma and allergies. If I lived closer to NY That is

were I would take my son. I have heard that there is quite a wait but I believe

he would be well worth it. I have heard it said that he is very compassionate

and he will listen to you. Hope this helps!

We started seeing Dr. Bock in Feb. up in Rhinebeck, NY. We actually

go back tomorrow. He is very thorough, does lots of testing and

really read over all of my son's history and came up with supplements

he needed, etc. I felt he really individualized his treatment so

far, we saw another DAN previously and really were not happy with

certain things.

I would like to take my son to Dr. Bock but unfortunately, he is not

accepting new patients for now.

I called his office a few days ago and they told me to call back in

Sept. with the earliest appointment to be in Mar.09

I am looking for an alternative name (a good DAN! doctor) in NY & NJ

area...I heard positive things about Dr. Jo Feingold and Dr. Francine

Siegel-Stein (both in NJ) from couple of parents and I would like to know if

there is a highly recommended one in New York City which is the closest

location to us.
