Guest guest
Hans, I don't know specifically about whether to treat leaky gut during or after die-off of Candida. I have CFIDS and MCS and also have to be very careful about Candida flare-ups. This is just opinion, but I think that healing leaky gut would help the immune system, and this might in turn help the body keep Candida in check. My husband has a personal website devoted to CFIDS (ME in the UK, I believe), and this page has links to information on leaky gut and treatment, if that is helpful. http://www.folkarts.com/idef/leaky%5Fgut.htm My husband and I are taking undenatured Whey (not the one currently spamming this list <g>)which is supposed to be helpful for leaky gut. Guest guest
My naturopath started me on Permeability Factors before she treated me for candida, It can be treated at the same time as treating candida. lindaj@... Healing leaky gut If leaky gut goes hand in hand with candida. Does anyone know when it would be recommended to take something such as Glutamine to help heal the leaky gut - would this be best before during or after the die off stage? Guest guest
Will colostrum and transfer factor heal a leaky gut? I have tried enzymes and I seem to react negatively to them. I can tolerate the transfer factor and the colostrum, as long as I don't take too much. I have tried l-glutamine and it caused severe constipation. Isn't it supposed to help heal the lining of the intestines? Has anyone else tried the glutamine and had the same reaction? paula
Guest guest
You might want to check out " Breaking the Vicious Cycle " from your local library. The gut will best heal if you remove those things that perpetuate the cycle. As healing progresses, more and more foods are reintroduced in stages, and most people are able to return to a normal diet without issue. Enzymes supplements are important now, but when healing occurs, your body should provide enough enzymes on its own. > > Will colostrum and transfer factor heal a leaky gut? At my house, leaky gut was healed with digestive enzymes, biotin, ALA chelation, B vitamins, and a few other supps. Dana
