Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am new to the group. My son, , is 2 1/2. He has apraxia of speech as well as sensory processing disorder. He has been on the GFCF diet for 6 weeks. I read Defelice's book on enzymes and have started my son on Trienza. So far he has been doing just fine on 1/2 capsule per meal (we are following the instrucitons that Houston N. provides to work up to), but last night we gave him one full capsule at dinner (again following the schedule) and he seems to be having some of the " withdrawal " symptoms that we saw when we first began the GFCF diet (arm flapping, increased excitability, resistance to signing). I just want to make sure that toddlers are able to have a full capsule of the enzymes. I emailed Houston but did not receive a response (that was two weeks ago). Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I would try emailing or calling again. As a general rule, one capsule of TriEnza should be okay for a young child, but there might be issues with your specific child that need discussing. Guest guest
My daughter started on the hni dosage for trienza and we had to eventually switch to afp peptizyde because the trienza was too strong for her and we thought it would be better to see which of the 3 enzymes she was reacting to or if she just needed time to adjust. She has been taking the peptizyde for a few months and is finally able to tolerate it with only positive effects. It took along time for us, but it was definitely worth it. We are hoping to add the zyme prime when school is out. She has such a sensitive system, we think it is better to not interfere with school. Hope this helps you, Tammy > > full capsule at dinner (again following the schedule) and he seems to > > be having some of the " withdrawal " symptoms that we saw when we first > > began the GFCF diet (arm flapping, increased excitability, resistance > > to signing).
