Guest guest
I just started LDN today at 3.0mg. I have had relapsing remitting MS since 2004, and my last MRI should no advancement in excisiting lession, and only very minor new activity. Symptoms befofe LDN are: optical neuritis, week legs, hands, arms, MS hugs, stiff calves, and nausea. So far after the first dose I had no initial reaction, but I will see how I fell in the morning. Also, have been on Copaxone for three months, and I had 3 months of mitoxanthrone last year. I would just like to say thank you for all of the great advice. My neurologist, and family doctor would not prescribe LDN. Instead, I purchased Naltima from All Day Chemist.
Guest guest
Welcome to the group. It's great that you persisted. I also have MS and have been on it for 2 mo. and will be happy if I just don't progress. I did go on a gluten free, lactose free diet also.I'm taking 3 mg. and hope to increase the dosage soon.I'm tapering off the Copaxone. I've been on Famprodine SR 10 mg. twice a day for about 6 mo. and that has helped improve my walking.Good luck.Betty Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Welcome Bud! Glad you found us - this group is full of people who use LDN for different reasons so you`ll pick up plenty of info and read others stories. I was a little concerned however, at your method of taking your LDN - a part of a teaspoon is not a very accurate way of getting the same dose each time. It`s a shame you didnt come across our most knowledgable compounding pharmacist while in Florida - Dr.Skip in Boca Raton. Most people that take liquid LDN here measure out their required dose with a baby syringe (no needle) so get an exact measurement each night. It sounds like LDN is already agreeing with you so that is wonderful. Others will add their two cents too - it`s probably a little late for the east coasters now! Best wishes Bev in San Francisco - In low dose naltrexone , " bestvitamin1950 " <budconlindley@...> wrote: > > Hi, > > I was diagnosed with a slow growing Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma about a month ago after a biopsy of a lump on my back and CAT scan as well as a bone marrow biopsy. > > My Doctor is only monitoring me now. I take 3/4 teaspoon every night. He also put me on Ave wheat germ (Avemar)to boost my immune system. > > He recommended that I look into taking vitamin C intravenous treatments in the future. > > So far I feel great with no side effects or other symptoms. > > I would appreciate communciating with other people taking LDN and sharing our experiences. Guest guest
Hi Bev, Don't worry, I am with you! We found Arthur's in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He actually marked a syringe at the 3/4 tsp. mark and the cap on the bottle has a small hole, which has a small cap on it as well, where I can place the syringe, tip it up and get out the exact dosage everytime! Thank you for your concern though! > > > > Hi, > > > > I was diagnosed with a slow growing Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma about a month ago after a biopsy of a lump on my back and CAT scan as well as a bone marrow biopsy. > > > > My Doctor is only monitoring me now. Guest guest
150mgs Naltrexone in 100mls of water and using a teaspoon is not an accurate method to administer LDN. If you're going to use the tablets this is how it should be done: Liquid LDN (Easiest): Acquire some ml measuring equipment from the baby section of a Drug Store and a small bottle with a screw-on cap. Put 50ml of water (distilled is best) and one 50mg " ReVia " Naltrexone tablet in the small bottle and let it dissolve with a little time and shaking. Now each ml of water in that small bottle contains 1 mg of Naltrexone. At bedtime shake the bottle, take a desired dose (no more than 4.5ml), chase it down with some water and store the small bottle in the refrigerator. http://goodshape.net/HomemadeLDN.html Art My MS/LDN Story 1988 -2009 http://preview.tinyurl.com/cv2gbu -- > > Hi, > > I was diagnosed with a slow growing Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma about a month ago after a biopsy of a lump on my back and CAT scan as well as a bone marrow biopsy. > > My Doctor is only monitoring me now.
