Guest guest
hi all need some input here...we added nystain to my son's supplemnets last septmember, saw lots of improvements in terms of attention in school, more participation in lunch bunch group etc. then during winter he was sick and on antibiotics which i think messed up the gut and as per school he is been slowly not paying attention as much as he was during those beginning school months. its back to tuning out. its been so gradual that i did not notice at home... anyway my Q is it possible nystatin in not working that well? can i add biotin too? or should it be GSE(which i read here has horrble taste) or should i do more probiotics? right now he is taking kirkman's probion gold twice a day... any thoughts darshana
Guest guest
> anyway my Q is it possible nystatin in not working that well? Nystatin is only effective against certain strains of yeast, and usually only works in the GI tract. So if you have a different strain, or the yeast is not in the GI tract, Nystatin won't be that effective. >>can i add biotin too? Yes >>or should it be GSE(which i read here has horrble taste) You can use either or both. GSE is very bitter, but you can put drops into an empty capsule, or buy tablets or capsules. > or should i do more probiotics? right now he is taking kirkman's probion gold twice a day... You can try this, altho the amount of probiotics you need to give might not be feasible. Dana
