Guest guest
Hello, I am curious to know what did you give him as biomed treatment? From: Karla Wiersma <wiersmak@...> Subject: Impaction question Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2009, 6:51 PM Can an impaction condition clear up on its own, i.e without the use of enemas, etc? The reason I ask is that ds, age 5, has been dealing with chronic constipation for about three years. In the last 6 months we've been able to get it under control to the point that he's fully potty trained, the toe walking is almost completely gone and he's having normal BMs 2 to 3 times a day as opposed to one BM every 2-3 days. However, in the last month, we've been seeing something odd. Once or twice a week, this kid will have one humungous BM, the size of which rivals anything Ive seen when he was really constipated (and those were pretty big). He calls them dinosaur poops and its a pretty apt description! After passing this monster (this is also the only time he toe-walks), he continues to have his 2-3 normal size BMs a day. Is it possible that his gut is finally healing and starting to clean out the gunk? Has anyone else experienced this? We havent been using enemas or laxatives, but he does take GI Revive, Fruit-Eze and Mag Citrate daily to keep him regular. The other reason that I wonder if he's healing is becuase in the last six months we've seen some huge gains. He's interacting more with his peers, his conversational skills have improved and he's now asking and answering the why questions. He still does alot of scritping, but that is improving as well. At any rate, its been a great 6 months and Im hoping this is a sign of continued improvement. Thanks, Karla
Guest guest
The list of supplements is fairly long as we are dealing with multiple issues, but here goes. Uva Ursi and GSE for yeast. GI Revive, Mg Citrate and Fruit Eze to keep him regular. Was on Valtrex and OLE for Herpes and Strep. Now on Actos to help his immune system. Testing indicated that some viruses were migrating to the brain. His vitamin/mineral supps include SNT, CLO, Colostrum, Vit D, Vit C (low dose due to oxalate issues), multi-minerals, amino support powder, additinal L-carnitine and Essentail GSH (glutathione). B-12 shots three days a week. He also takes Ammonia RNA liquid and Yucca powder to reduce his ammonia levels. His BMs used to reek of bleach. We also use custom probiotics. He is on GF/CF/SF, low oxalate and reduced protein diet. > > Hello, > > I am curious to know what did you give him as biomed treatment? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
> > Can an impaction condition clear up on its own, i.e without the use of enemas, etc? Depends on why he is impacted. Magnesium, vitamin C, and yeast control are most commonly effective at eliminating constipation/impaction. Anti-virals will tend to cause a LOT of yeast, and yeast overgrowth can be constipating. > His vitamin/mineral supps include SNT, CLO, EFAs, including CLO, were highly constipating here until given with mito cocktail and lots of magnesium. >> Colostrum, Vit D, Vit C (low dose due to oxalate issues), Vitamin C caused yeast here, because it addressed viruses. >> multi-minerals, A few minerals caused constipation here because they required magnesium for proper absorption. >>amino support powder, additinal L-carnitine and Essentail GSH (glutathione). B-12 shots Carnitine, GSH, and B12 can all increase yeast. First I would recommend you increase magnesium and the yeast protocol. Right now constipation isnt really an issue. He goes 2-3 times a day and the BMs are normal sized (with the exception of the one monster BM a week). I was curious to know if its possible that the one weekly huge BM could be an impaction that is clearing itself out of his system.

It is best not to take uva ursi more than 10 days at a time, because it is hard on the kidneys. >>Right now constipation isnt really an issue. I was curious to know if its possible that the one weekly huge BM could be an impaction that is clearing itself out of his system. It is possible, altho I would wonder why it builds up each week. Try increasing the magnesium and/or the GSE, see if that helps. Dana
