Guest guest
Would very much like to know if the TDAP(Tetanus,Diptheria,Acellular) and the Menningococcal containing vaccine is compulsory in Los Angels,CA?? My son is 10yrs and is due for it..Have received the notice from the school in NJ,where it is compulsory and the child wont be allowed to start 6th grade unless written proof is submitted to the school nurse.. If these vaccines are compulsory in Los Angels( where we will be soon moving), what would be the best possible way for my son to escape them????????? Would appreciate all the information about this! anita
Guest guest
CA allows for a philisophical exemption. We moved to Colorado before I needed to declare it so I don't know the process there but it is relatively easy to claim. there has been some movement to elimate it but I do not believe anything has happened. Dana lives in CA and can probably chime in on the process. In Colorado, I only had to sign the vaccine form where it lists parent claims an exemption. I think CA might be similar. I am in CA. Nothing is compulsory, altho the schools like to make you think they are. > If these vaccines are compulsory in Los Angels( where we will be soon moving), what would be the best possible way for my son to escape them????????? Turn over the blue vaccine card to the back, and sign the philosophical exemption. Dana
Guest guest
Absolutely NOT! I live in California as well. This state has a philosphical exemption for some or all vaccines. No school or doctor will tell you about it, trust me. But it is on the big blue California Public Education Vaccination record card you filled when you first registered your child for school. There is a box on the front of the card (I think it is letter " E " ) and then a place on the back of the card for you to sign. If your school doesn't have that on file, fill out a new. Demand they give you one. It is law in California that your child cannot be denied public education if you fill this out. And it should also be noted that the Constitution of the country makes it illegal for any state to require vaccinations ( " No citizen shall have medical procedure performed on them against their will... " ), but no one seems to know or recognize that either. Until you end up in court, of course. But somehow the states have never been required to change their laws...
