What about grinding teeth in relation to stress?

motor/vocal tics, dark circles, and inappropriate behavior at school (spitting,

calling kids stupid, etc). I know that all of these symptoms sound like yeast

but I really think his yeast is under control. The reason I think this is

because when he is put of Flagyl all the symptoms go away and stay away.

OLE and Culturelle worked to eliminate bad bacteria problems here.

Spitting at my house meant carnitine deficiency.

My guy as a toddler was grinding his teeth and a very light sleeper. Enzymes,

wow, no more issues. I'm sure it was just the tip of the iceberg but a start.

He's on the mild side of the spectrum.

I vote for something bothering him. Even try a parasite protocol or hit the

dentist and get things checked out.

I my early 20's, I needed teeth work. Didn't really know it because my parents

didn't take me to the dentist. I was grinding my teeth big time in my sleep.

When I got my first full time job and hit the dentist, getting my teeth

repaired, he could tell I was a teeth grinder. Anyway....after the fillings

(thankfully all white), no more teeth grinding. My dad did too, he had all his

teeth removed, dentures. The dentist said it was my bodies was of trying to

" fix " issues and I did it in my sleep.

My son with bacteria started Kirkman's Colostrum two weeks ago and we are seeing

die offs from it. It's supposed to help with yeast, bacteria and reduce

inflammation. I also keep him on Biocidin for bacteria control. It's a nice

herbal alternative to the antibiotics.

Unfortunately, three to four weeks after his round of Flagyl is finished all of

these symptoms come back. I need any and all suggestions to help with Clostridia

overgrowth. I'm am going crazy!!! Also, his strep titers were checked and this

is not a strep issue.

Just wanted to share a couple thing I have learned about clostridia. I have read

that clostrdia and Bifidobacterium strain(Probiotics) compete for the same food

lactose. Currently I was just using cultrelle(L. GG) to treat the clostridia but

I have since added a some bifidombacterium strains and I do notice a bit of a

difference in my son when I use both versus just using one(l.gg).

Because clostridia feed on lactose, I was planning on adding a Lactose enzyme

which in theory should destroy the food source and help clear out some of the

problem.

Another thing I had read was that clostridia can maintain viable counts in the

presence of Phytic acid. My son is a peanutbutter- aholic which could mean high

numbers of phytic acid which I have read inhibits the absorption of zinc. My

adhd'r needs all the zinc he can get. So, I was thinking of adding the enzyme

phytase to break down the phtic acid and make the zinc more readily available

and hopefully discourage the clostridia.

In the book " Bacteria for breakfast " , the author states that L.Plantrum is

better for fighting clostridia then L.GG and that L.salivarius is better then l.

plantrum.  I have tried L.Plantrum with good results but he is getting sick of

those chewables(Jarrow yum yum dophilus) ...I will try the L. Salivarius at

some point. I have read not sure if it was in the book or not , that

L.Salivarius grows 20 fold....very good at reproducing.

At my house, teeth grinding was caused by yeast overgrowth and mineral

deficiency [magnesium and calcium].
