Guest guest
My son takes Pycnogenal. We've not noticed that side effect, but each kid is so different in their response to a supplement. He is about 80lbs and takes 50mg in the AM and then 25 at dinner. He's 10yrs. > > Our DAN doctor has given our 10 year old (Inattentive ADD, possibly from Asperger's), a Pycnogenol supplement. Josh said and we noticed too that he is a bit jittery after being on 60 mg/day Pycnogenol for 5 days. I also started noticing some under-eye shadows in the morning. > Does this mean we should cut the dosage or is it not suitable to him at all? > > Thank you in advance for all your helpful responses. > > Warm wishes, > Anjana >
Guest guest
My son is 80 lbs. and takes 50 mg in AM with other supps and one No-Fenol caps. due to pycnogenol's high phenol content. Eye shadows always meant an intolerance to food due to phenols at my house. We also do Epsom Salt baths. Guest guest
Thank you. I am wondering how Epsom salt helps with Pycnogenol. I just stopped the Pycnogenol completely and will start up in low doses. His attention and focus is all over the place, and it is supposed to make it better. Very confused about this supplement. Thanks again. Anjie > > > > > > Our DAN doctor has given our 10 year old (Inattentive ADD, possibly from Asperger's), a Pycnogenol supplement. Guest guest
Epsom Salt baths or foot baths help with PST deficiencies which have to do with the inability to process phenols. The magnesium sulfate from the Epsom Salts help that cycle that's deficient. My son can't tolerate too many phenols and pycnogenol is phenolic. Here is a great link on it: http://www.enzymestuff.com/epsomsalts.htm Josie > > > > > > > > > > Our DAN doctor has given our 10 year old (Inattentive ADD, possibly from Asperger's), a Pycnogenol supplement.
