enzymes can cause scarring?

One of the moms I know, who wanted to try enzymes with her sons, said

that her GI doctor told her that supplemental enzymes can cause

scarring.

My question is, how would I be able to argue against that logic? I

told her to use the enzymes, because it is so helpful for our kids.

When do you know that the enzymes are too much? Where is the possible

scarring occurring?

Just need some help explaining...

Thanks,

Number 1, IF you get plant based enzymes, these are digested in the stomach with

the food across an incompetent digestive system.

Number 2 - IF you have the right enzyme company and know the reflexes you can

check , this will happen in 30 minutes or less.

Number 3 - it's pH driven, plant enzymes ( hopefully from the right company)

work in a pH range of 3 to 9.

Number 4- animal based enzymes (pancreatic) work in a pH range of 7 to 9.

(normal for what's supposed to happen when the chyme (hopefully partially

digested food from stomach) and they only work if your body will give up (make )

the bicarb to bring the pH up for the pancreatic enzymes (endogenous) to work.

can't guarantee this with bromelain/papain as they work best at temperatures of

135 degrees. and if these are in the product the company is charging a lot of

money for something that is extremely cheap.

Number 5- if this is true ( I have not looked this up) if may be from bile that

is too thick , pH issues and could be certain products that contain pepsin, bile

acids, oxbile.

Number 6- he doesn't know a thing about plant enzymes and I'd be happy to talk

with him if you are so inclined and may email me offlist.
