Around the time my son regressed he put dirt in his mouth that whole summer.

His doctor said to give him iron supplements. I later learned that this can

make bacterial problems MUCH WORSE and wish we hadn't done it. Also, the dirt

(and rocks, etc) around houses and at playgrounds is likely contaminated with

lead from paint, arsenic from treated wood, and other things like that. Mercury

pollution in the air settles on the ground. My son's arsenic level is through

the roof and I think it's from eating dirt. I personally would not allow this

behavior- if nothing else, give them something else to put in the mouth.

understand what it feels like and why it is done. My 5 year old daughter does

stress stims or just excitement odd stims.  What is really hard for me to

understand is the shaking things in front of the face. I've tried it several

times and it just makes feel dizzy or confuses my eyes . Very hard for me to

take bothers eyes. Can you really help me " get it " ? What causes this

biologically?

learning,,getting further behind in developmental areas. Also her play group

leader says sometimes she scares her peers with rapid stimming.

I am not .

At my house, all stims had a biomedical cause. Once I figured out the cause and

eliminated it, the stims went away on their own.

For my son, visual stims were caused by yeast overgrowth, latent viruses, and

B12 deficiency.

For my son there seem to be two kinds of stimming- one is when he hyper-focuses

his attnetion on something (usually visual, but can be scripting) to block out

everything else when he is overstimulated. The other is basically being on

drugs. It's just the same as someone on a hallucinogenic drug staring at the

wall and being mesmerized by what they see. This smakes sense, since the most

powerful hallucinogens that we know- LSD and magic mushrooms- are fungal and our

kids tend to have extreme fungal overgrowth.

Well what do i do about yeast and bacteria other than save for an expensive oat

test ,when we are so broke? Can i just treat for bacteria/fungus with something

over the counter? We do have mold in bathroom. What about virals? During the

last couple weeks she has started to claw herself also. What about the Threelac

recommended by McCArthy?

I did not do official testing, I just observed my child and " diagnosed " the

problem the old fashioned way, by observation of symptoms.

For yeast, I usually use biotin and GSE. For bacteria, I usually use OLE, altho

OoO also works here.

>>What about virals?

I used Virastop, OLE, and high doses of vitamin A, vitamin C, and lysine,

depending on which viruses I was trying to address.

>>During the last couple weeks she has started to claw herself also.

I would first increase the yeast protocol, see if that helps.

>> What about the Threelac recommended by McCArthy?

It contains strep strains, so don't use this if your child is a strep or PANDAS

child.
