Guest guest
Once there is no yeast, the grapefriut seed extract can cause bacteria problems. Try eliminating it all together and see what happens. I just had this happen with my son....I was giving him GSE and I thought he was having the worst yeast I'd ever seen. HUGE bloated belly, terrible breath and gas. Turns out he no longer needed GSE and had dysbiosis from it.. > > We started on a yeast protocol about 4 weeks ago (3 candidase + 30 > drops GSE 3 x/day + 2 Culturelle at bedtime). That is a rather high dose of GSE, and once the yeast is gone [usually a week or so], GSE will tend to cause a bad bacteria problem, which sometimes has similar symptoms. >>Could it be that > the enzymes are damaged or do we need to try something else? Why do you suspect the Candidase? What other supplements are you currently giving? > Anyone know how well oil of oregano works? It works well on both yeast and bad bacteria, so you can switch from GSE to OoO if you want, see if that works better for you. Dana
Guest guest
I found your reply interesting; " too much grapefruist seed extract can cuase " fermentation in the tummy; too much of anything is not good I recall when I was 10 yrs. old in 1961; I had chronic nose bleeds; so off to Doc. my Mum took me; turns out I was thin and I had a Deficiency of Vitman C Ascorbic Acid called Scurvy; so the Doc put me on Vitamin C Ascorbic Acid script; IN 10 DAYS MY NOSEBLEEDS CLEARED and i never had another nose bleed in 40 years; THEN I began to eat tons of fruit which Mum bought; i recall the day I ate about 7 tnagerines in one afternoon;I broke out in a face arm rash;off to doc This time it was too much Vitamin C called Acidosis; amazing stories ! so the point is: A Balance must be maintained when supplementing kids. > > > > We started on a yeast protocol about 4 weeks ago (3 candidase + 30 > > drops GSE 3 x/day + 2 Culturelle at bedtime). Guest guest
The symptoms of our flare included: return of psoriasis patches (The patches themselves shrunk considerably and looked much less angry since starting the yeast protocol. Once the flare happened the size of the patches never increased. Instead, they got red and flaky), vaginal itching and redness in DD and I, jock itch in DH. I didn't know that the GSE could cause problems if it isn't needed, but it seems like it is yeast and not bacteria. Plus, we're also taking 10 protease 3x/day each along with the candidase, candex and GSE. Should I just quit the GSE and start OoO? If so, what's a good dose? I've heard 3 drops in a bit of water 1x/day for adults, so I'd assume 1 drop in water 1x/day would be good for kids. What about additing it to castor oil and putting it on the feet at night? Can I do both?

You can try increasing the GSE, see if that helps. >>Plus, we're also taking 10 protease 3x/day > each along with the candidase, candex and GSE. Should I just quit the > GSE and start OoO? Start there, increase as required. >>What about additing it to castor oil and > putting it on the feet at night? Can I do both? It may work by putting it on the feet, but I don't have experience with that. Dana

I chelated with ALA, and I gave GSE with each dose, to control yeast. Culturelle is a probiotic that works really well for bad bacteria overgrowth issues.
