Dark circles are commonly associated with phenol issues

http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm

Mood swings can be phenols, other foods, or yeast overgrowth

This can be viral or yeast overgrowth.

P5P tends to cause problems for kids with phenol issues, and it also

tends to increase yeast.

Most kids need more B6, and P5P is the more absorbable version. But

for kids with phenol issues, you usually need to address that before

they can tolerate B6/P5P. And you usually do need to increase the

yeast protocol when giving it.

Increase the yeast protocol.

Glut also tends to increase yeast, and many kids don't need it anyway.

It means he is a viral kid. Try giving vitamin C and lysine. Viral

die off does tend to increase yeast, so do watch for that also.

I agree that what you're describing sounds a lot like yeast die-off,

could be from the Nizoral you started last week? Have you tried

giving activated charcoal to see if it helps? I also recently started

my son on P5P and he did have a bad reaction to it, so I stopped and

the reaction immediately went away. Basically, I got excited and gave

him the full dose right off without working up slowly- it made him

really " edgy " and he woke up screaming at night. I will be starting

him again with a tiny dose and working up. Your son's issue sounds

more like yeast to em, though.

My DS doc put him on P5P because his oxylates were high. At first he

had some issues with it ... caused horrible behaviors and sand like

poop.

When I inquired more about it ... those were all signs of dumping

oxalates...

So perhaps the reason your child is having issues with P5P is their

oxylates are too high???

In time things got a whole lot better for my son. I back his

doseage down and worked up and now he very successfully takes his P5P

and his oxylates are now down to normal.

It has been a good supplement.

Thanks so much Melinda, I think you're right! My son does have high

oxalates, so it probably is dumping. That helps things make so much

more sense.

Add some magnesium. Both P5P and biotin tend to deplete magnesium.

You can also give him an epsom salt bath, see if that helps.
