Guest guest
If you find info about breastfeeding and enzymes, please share! When my ASD kid still nursed I went on his diet 100% because he was so sensitive. If I ate even a trace amount of gluten or casein, and he got a trace of that through the milk, he'd react. I was surprised to find that following his diet helped my health profoundly too. It would be great if an enzyme would help with this. -Sierra > > Sorry if this is a second post. Guest guest
I emailed this question to the questions address on Enzymestuff.com a few weeks ago, but have not received an answer. I was told about Candex when I asked in at the health food store about something for thrush and the HFS lady said it was safe. I was able to find an anectdotal accout of someone else using it through pg and bf. My LC looked up the individual enzymes and could find no info. > > > > Sorry if this is a second post. Guest guest
I don't have any resources, but I did breastfeed while nursing my second child. The benefits were enormous. I also took probiotics and this too helped. My breastmilk was watery and grayish with my first child. The second time around, with enzymes, it was thick and white like really heavy cream. The first time around I had to supplement with formula, the second time around, no need for formula or prescription vitamins. Trienza to start? Breastfeeding? Sorry if this is a second post. Not sure if my posts are mod as I am new to to group or if my first post just went into the ether... I am planning to start my 7yo dd on the " lownslow " method listed on enzyme stuff. When I went to the HNI site I found the new product Trienza. Would it be beneficial to start slowly with this vs. starting the HN-Zyme, then the peptizyde, etc? Also, is there any issue with using the afp peptizyde chewables vs. the capsules? I've seen some things here about being sensitive to the flavorings. I don't think that will be an issue. But, I also want the most effective product and the best value. I am also considering taking some protease enzymes myself as my 3mo dd is having trouble with digestion when I have milk products. I can't find any info on enzymes and breastfeeding. Does anyone have any resources? Thanks in advance.
Guest guest
> I can tell you that La Leche league reccomends that if its something you could give to a child its usually okay in breastmilk. My experience is that most everything passes through to an extent so slow is always good. I think the enzymes probably would pass through. We have had good results with the chewables which might be more expensive than the pills. If your child can swallow pills than the regular would be a better option I think. Good luck, Elaine > I don't have any resources, but I did breastfeed while nursing my second child. The benefits were enormous. I also took probiotics and this too helped. Guest guest
Devin from Houstons enzymes says that enzymes are safe to take during pregnancy and our DAN doc says that as well. I'm sure that it would be safe for breastfeeding. Call the company you are thinking of using and ask them directly. Good luck, Dani > > > I can tell you that La Leche league reccomends that if its something > you could give to a child its usually okay in breastmilk.
