Guest guest
I want to know if I have this right...1000mcg of Biotin = 10 mg Biotin? I'm trying to figure out why the recommended doses change..and now I see mcg vs mg. If the recommened dose shouldn't be higher than 20 mg...why do they sell it in 5000mcg capsules? Thanks for your help!
Guest guest
1 mg. is 1000 mcg. so 5000 mcg would only be 5 mg. Guest guest
This is where it helps to be Canadian! You're dealing with the metric system, so everything is divisible by 10. A gram is considered 1. A milligram is 1/1000 (thousand) of a gram, so you need 1000 mg to make a gram. A microgram is 1/1000 (thousand) of a milligram, so you need 1000 mcg to make a milligram (and 1 million mcg to make a gram) To go bigger: a kilogram is 1000 grams In measuring,we also use centimeters (1/100 of a meter). Or kilometers (1000 meters = 1 kilometer) Centi - hundred Milli - thousand Thus ends your math lesson for today. http://www.gfcfcanadianstyle.wordpress.com http://www.allaboutpotential.wordpress.com __________________________________________________________________ Instant Messaging, free SMS, sharing photos and more...
