I have found the diet to be very helpful for both of us. We are gfcfsf. We are also avoiding MSG, sodium nitrate, artificial colors, artificial sweeteners and preservatives. I stumbled upon each sensitivity by process of elimination. The first was milk, then soy, then gluten, then sodium nitrate, then artificial color, then MSG, then artificial sweeteners, then preservatives. It has made me feel so much better, more clear headed, more calm, more even personality, no more excema, ability to focus and get things done. For my son, it made him be able to make eye contact, want to communicate and share interests, calmer, more focused. He gets Trienza, but not every meal, mostly just when I am not sure if there might be cross contamination. I tried to just use the enzymes and eat what I wanted(after 4 years on the diet) and I was good for 3 days, then had problems. I have also recently started with some supplements that are seeming to help, they are targeted at yeast. I give him a skin, hair and nails daily vitamin that is high in biotin, calcium, magnesium, zinc, fish oil, and vitamin D. I will be adding probiotics soon. We don't do low carb, but we don't do high carb either. Low carb should starve out the little buggers(yeast). My son is on the thin side and I am thinking he might not be absorbing fats well, so I may be starting him on some supplements for that.
