Guest guest
Hi Listmates, My son has been on Diflucan for 7 days and I have been seeing white stringy stuff in his bm - they are all white coloured with pointed ends, some are long, like 3-4 cm, a bit elastic like (a bit like bean sprouts, but much more thin, and flat); whilst the bulk of them are shorter ones, like half to 1 cm. I use to think they are undigested veggie fibre, but given the bulk of them and the fact that he is on Diflucan, I suspect they are dead yeast. Or are they dead worms or parasites? My son also seems to be in a lot of discomfort. He is not his usual jolly self - he is now easily aggitated, and yells a lot and keeps to himself and his voice stim/singing OCD has worsened. Whilst I have more or less been prepared for die-off to be tough, I am still worried. Been trying not to give activated charcoal unless necessary for fear of absorbing nutrients; looks like I will have to give him some tonight to ease the pain. What else can I do to help him? I am already doing epsom salt baths everynite. I have been giving 100mg magnesium citrate with his B6 to help bm. What else to give to avoid constipation, especially given that charcoal can be constipating? Many thanks for your help.
