Guest guest
Hi, We switched DAN! docs and my son is starting on Diflucan twice daily. When do you give the ProBio - he should be taking 2 a day, which is fine - but wouldn't the Diflucan eat the probiotics? Thanks, Susi

Then diflucan again about 2 or 3pm.. then probiotic at bedtime.Which is about 8pm.. HTH -- So see what others say.. but that is what I do here. Guest guest
I did something very similar. I gave the diflucan at 6 moning/evening and the probio at 8a/2p/8p. I hope this helps. > > From: gfcfmommy <gfcfmommy@...> > Subject: When to give ProBio with Diflucan? > > Date: Wednesday, July 16, 2008, 11:11 AM > > > > > > > Hi, > We switched DAN! docs and my son is starting on Diflucan twice daily. > When do you give the ProBio - he should be taking 2 a day, which is > fine - but wouldn't the Diflucan eat the probiotics? > Thanks, > Susi > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
My doc has us giving Diflucan once a day. I give it after dinner, and I give the probiotics first thing in AM. This seems to be working as we have an unbelievable amount of yeast coming out of this poor kid. -Sierra > > how old is ur child? Guest guest
For us, (my son is on Nystatin to fight yeast) we see lots of white stuff in my son's urine. Sometimes it looks like specks and other times it kind of looks like lines of white throughout the urine. > > What does yeast look like? Guest guest
It seems to vary a lot what yeast looks like for different kids. For my son, yeast coming out looks grainy, a lot like yeast for baking straight from the package looks. There are often dark specs (not entirely sure that's yeast too, could be something else that dies at the same time?), and the stools are very loose, often runny, and a little watery. They stink so bad I worry the military will show up to use them for biological warfare! Sort of a vinegary/stale bread smell if that makes sense. Sometimes his poop smells fishy and this may also be yeast. Sometimes his poop gets slimy and shiny, but this is towards the end of die-off, and I think it is the protective layer of mucous coming out. Other people often describe yeast poop as having strings in it like melted cheese, which are sometimes white. Sometimes the poop is fluffy as if the yeast has been fermenting and making it rise like bread dough. Sorry if this makes you never want to eat bread again -Sierra > > > > My doc has us giving Diflucan once a day. I give it after dinner, and > > I give the probiotics first thing in AM.
