Guest guest
How about some fun light weight gloves/mittens on the hands to keep from scratching and scaring! My mother always ask, " do I need to put gloves on you? " when picking at myself! I remember as a kid with poison ivy, I'd sometimes sleep with socks on my hands to help. That might do it too! Guest guest
There was an 'off the shelf' remedy at Whole Foods our ND had us get for my son with his inflamed poison oak. It really helped. I touched the pellets though and it started 'proving' on me and I itched for days and he had the opposite.it helped him. Homeopathy has really helped us and it truly is strange, but I believe in it. Guest guest
Not sure if you can do corn. But you can make a corn starch paste. I will warn you, it is messy, but boy did it work great. I can vividly remember my Mom slapping it all over us kids and just sitting in our PJS !!! It is just corn starch and water mixed up......it worked fantastic and also dries them all up. educatebeforeyouvaccinate <gillespies62599@...> wrote: Stevie has Chicken Pox so we are inviting anyone and everyone that wants to come to a Chicken Pox party to help build up their child's immune system. My kids were vax'd for chicken pox, and later we exposed them to the real thing at a chicken pox party (sharing a lollipop). I considered it a natural booster. I know people who disagreed with my decision.

Guest guest
RHUS Toxicodendron 200K For back pain, loss of appetite and skin eruptions. I can't remember if we took this for the actual poison oak infection and a different one for the 'itch', but I only remember doing 1. Do you have an ND you can ask? Guest guest
My son was vaccinated for Chicken Pox at about 12 months and carries no immunity, according to titers, 5 years later. Guest guest
i wonder if potatoe starch would work instead? I use this as a substitute for corn starch in all my receipes. Maybe even arrowroot powder which can also be used as a thickener? Not sure what in the corn starch does the trick but trying a couple alternatives might work. wish we were in PA....my kids are not vaccinated so I would like them to have the chicken pox as kids... denice gretchen haugh <haughgretchen@...> wrote: Not sure if you can do corn. Guest guest
My son was vaxxed for chicken pox at 12 months. He got a mild case of it when he was 5. At that time I did not know what I know now, and I was floored when the pediatrician offhandedly said " Good, now he'll have immunity for life. " My daughter, vaxxed at 3 yrs old, did not get it even when my son had it. > > > >> Stevie has Chicken Pox so we are inviting anyone and everyone that > >> wants to come to a Chicken Pox party to help build up their child's > >> immune system. > >> > >> Also, since he is everything free and on zyrtec in the am and > >> > > singulair > > > >> in the pm, does anyone have suggestions for anti-itch??? Guest guest
Before I heard of oatmeal/Aveeno, I gave my kids baths with baking soda in it when they had the chicken pox. It helped somewhat. I think baking soda is glutenfree, but if not, I have seen "Gf" baking soda sold in the "health" sections of grocery stores. Good luck, Aasamichelleonamission <gillespies62599@...> wrote: Stevie has Chicken Pox so we are inviting anyone and everyone that wants to come to a Chicken Pox party to help build up their child's immune system.
