Guest guest
, left yesterday. I dont know why, she did not write to me. I sent her a letter to check up on her but have not heard from her. I am very worried about her considering the rough time she is having. I have her email address and will forward these letters to her so she knows that she is loved and missed terribly. I think the ones with the seperate tops only holds 1/4 oz. does the other one hold more. Kathy

Guest guest
Well, not good news today , I took my dad to the doctors, and the stent was finally approved, and his is made, and now because it has gotton bigger, he is no longer a candidate for the stent. So now they have to open his whole stomach. He is scheduled to go two weeks, and I have a week of running back and forth to Buffalo for more test. My mom is having a fit because she cant come down to visit your dad and Dorothy. I promised her I would see that she gets down, but it will be at least two months before he can travel. So she is not real happy, and either is my dad. So I wont be coming to the gathering, and I was really looking forward to it. But my dad is more important right now, so I will just have to wait until next year. When I get down to see you in a couple of months, you can show me what you learned. Sorry girls, I will be thinking of you, and I know you will have a great time. Kathy
Guest guest
Oh !!!! This is wonderful news YOU GO GIRL !!!!!!!!! I wish I could have just $1.000 to have and not to pay back . Kim -- M Wow that sounds great!!!!! Good luck! Shaye -----Original Message-----From: Joe Murray [mailto:jmurray2@...]Sent: Monday, August 13, 2001 6:15 PM Subject: Re: to "busy" G Welcome back. We missed you. Congrats and hope everything works out on the possible new accounts. I haven't told any of the girls what I'm about to tell you all because I wasn't sure if it was going to "pan out." But I've had (2) meetings with a representative from VESID which is a NYState run program for people who have been on Workman's Comp or other disability type thing where you can't go back to work at what you were doing and need to "start your work life" over some how, some where, etc. They help you ($) to go to school or if (like me) you want to start your own business, there is "grant" money available. It's not just handed over and I've had to go to (2) meetings with my VESID rep and go over a "business plan" type thing and paper work. Then today I spent 3-1/2 hours with a business consultant the State pays to look at your ideas, plans, knowledge, your background, etc. and he advises VESID as to whether he feels your a "good" risk for the State to put their money. Well, things are looking real good. Both guys have been very impressed with my accounting background (very important) to them, my products (which I took with me to meetings), and especially the fact that I've already invested LOTS of my own money, showing that it's just not a "hobby" I'm dabbling with. In fact, my VESID rep bougth my lotion bar and said he loved it. He said he rides his bike for hours at night and his hands get very dry. He thought the lotion bar would be the "nuts" to throw in his pocket. I had to laugh because throughout the whole hour meeting I had with him last week, he kept sniffing at his hands and commenting how nice it was. Sooooo...... if everything goes good I'm eligible for UP TO $11,000 in grant money to put into my business!! That's not a loan - that's to keep and not pay back. Boy, am I excited!! Then I can get all the things I need (and they agree) to help my business and make things easier for me. Boy, do I have a WISH list!! Gotta go make bath salts for The Flower Barn account I have to have to them on Wednesday. Guest guest
Yes, I know the problem you're speaking of. I always stand right there in the store and take each top off and put it back on to test it out. It takes a while if you're buying a bunch, but it's worth it. I'm still waiting for them to come back in to my local Dollar Store. The manager said they're on order but they NEVER know when the stuff will be in. They're going to call me when they do. Did they have the Sunflower glass ones I was talking about the other day? Those are real cute. And the lid is made better. M. But then Hubby was with and I never get in a relaxing thorough shopping trip in when he is along, IF ya know what I mean LOL. I thougt maybe I could put a few dabs of super glue where the rubber seal connects with the wood, maybe that will hold em in place. Got to go hit the shower for my date! Guest guest
I've used a lot of the Soapwizards M & P, and it's great! I also regularly use WSSP base, and it's also great. They are very different, though. The WSSP base is ULTRA clear, and rather dry. (That's not drying to the skin ... just " dry " , as in not slippery when you handle it). It has a melting point around 140 or a bit higher. The Soapwizards base has a melting point around 130, and about as much glycerine as you can pack into a soap. It is VERY moist, without being overly soft or slimy. I really like it! It's quite clear (not at all amber ...), but not as ULTRA clear as the WSSP product. I believe both bases run around $1.35 per lb. - Ela (000)___(000) Ela Heyn / @ @ \ ferret@... | | ======@====== http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5483
Guest guest
Thanks Ela! I have just dipped into my tub of Soapwizards MP, Made a bunch of the Fine Art Sea theme soaps with it, but I havnt actually used it yet on myself. It seems pretty good,(your right, not slimey or soft). I have never used WSSP's tho and wondered what the dif. is. Do you ever see much sweating with this base? Thx Shaye Re: M I've used a lot of the Soapwizards M & P, and it's great! I also regularly use WSSP base, and it's also great. They are very different, though. Guest guest
The Soapwizards base will sweat more than the WSSP base .. it has more glycerine. Both will sweat if it gets humid enough, though. I was making M & P soaps a couple of weeks back in a thunderstorm, and my poor soaps (made with WSSP base) looked like they were standing outside in the rain! THe water was just POURING off of them! - Ela (000)___(000) Ela Heyn / @ @ \ ferret@... | | ======@====== http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5483
Guest guest
Hey cuz, having a problem with those plastic pots that you used for your alo vera gel perfumes. I used the frag that you told me about called Amber Romance, and that was ok, but when I use any of the other FO it seems to eat away at the plastic, and that is why I am having a problem getting them open. Is there a reason the Amber Romance doesn't do that. Is there anything else I can put this in. I have 50 of these little pots, and now I am afraid to use them. I have already ruined 10 of them. HELP Kathy
Guest guest
I cant find the invoice for those pots, so I have no idea where I got them. Can you give me the site for the ones you bought with the white tops on them. They seem to be a better plastic. I know the FO does eat at the plastic measuring spoons, so I guess I should have thought of that. But people seem to be concerned if it does that to plastic, is it going to hurt there skin. I dont sell any of these, I just make to give to my friends. But I was embarassed when they told me that they couldn't get them open. Dont forget to send me the site. Thanks, Kathy
Guest guest
, do you only use the FO from that company that makes Amber Romance in those little bottles. Maybe there is something different about those Frag. Have you ever used any of the other frag. from other companies? The pots I got were from one of the sites you gave me several months ago. They were only .40 a piece, so maybe they were too cheap. I wish I could find the invoice, so I dont order from them again. You probably dont remember which one you gave me, do you. Oh well, I guess I will have to invest in some new ones. Can you think of something I can do with these little ones. I hate to waste them. Guest guest
Hi .... I have intentionally stayed as far away from all the malarkey (SP?) with this stuff with Mark, as I get so mad, I about blow a gasket! But, Mark has a lot more going on for him in the logic department than I do! Anyway, as he was writing the appeal letter, he had to call the company that the disability insurance company hired to try to get him Social Security. Do you see anything WRONG with this picture? The insurance company says he is NOT disabled, but are hiring a company to claim he IS? Talk about talking out of both sides of your mouth! Mark's back has had trouble for several years. He went to the DR when his legs began to get numb and such...The Dr said that there were "problems", but nothing to worry about. So, he didn't! He was having terrible pain the day before Memorial Day two years ago. He had often found some relief by getting into the pool. So, he climbed in that day and when he got out, he could barely walk. He made it into the living room and fell to the floor. The next morning, the Dr did surgery to remove a piece of disc that blew out and lodged against his spinal cord. The Dr doing the surgery was a Dr in Rochester that worked on the likes of Ted and Brady. He was confident that Mark would do well, as the surgery was well within 24 hours from when Mark suffered the injury. It really was never expected that he would be unable to walk...The Dr also explained that when a disc "blows", it usually migrates to the left or right of the spinal cord. Mark's was unusual, as the piece went right against the cord. This has been so awful. Just before everything happened, Mark had lost about 80 pounds and was playing hockey a couple of times a week. To go from such an active life to not being able to do a lot of anything has been a really hard transition. As you can imagine. As you can see, this has just been a strange thing that no one could have ever anticipated! Kae <============================>Olive Tree SoapsWeb Site: http://olivetreesoaps.comEmail: kae@...<============================> Re: Kae Kae What a bunch of bull....with that insurance company. Does your husband have a lawyer? I think I'd be making a phone call. Did he ever file for Social Security Disability? I don't know if you ever mentioned it or not, if so I don't recall. How was he hurt? Was it a car accident and if so, who's fault was it? There's got to be something that can be done for him insurance wise. Don't let him give up. Fight that insurance company. A lot of times they hope that the people give up and don't fight them back. Don't give up. Also, if his company says he's now laid off, I'd be contacting Unemployment Dept. to see if he qualifies. Hang in there!! M

Guest guest
It's funny this subject just came up, my daugher told me mom I have gained weight in my face and middle. She said wait till you see me. She is off all adrenal medication now and is only taking in thyroid and the temp. has steadily gained now at 97.5 and holding very nicely. I told her to take in another thyroid pill and see how she does with that. Her dose is very low and she just may need more thyroid glandular. I keep on asking her what symptoms are coming back and she said well kind of the bathroom again. So I said well increase your thyroid meds. No fatigue what so ever so that is great to report. So I am thinking that one she is eating more than before so that can cause the weight gain, two she just got off the adrenals and prolonged use of them can cause weight gain as well. Three she may need more thyroid glandular. She is now off the dhea as well. Still no period though. I am hoping it's because of the temp. is still not high enough, once we see 98 and hold that for a month her periods should come back if everything else is still improving. She is now probably 85% better, before we were at 75%. It's frustrating though I know for everyone to be gaining with this illness. tina
Guest guest
There is no weight gain on the right medicine. Adrenals meds don't cause weight gain either. Guest guest
Hi Joy! I think I fit in that range, though I'm not very consistent. It's an avoid-free was to satisfy my nonnie O sweet-tooth (cavity free, though, and fortunately I don't have bad candida issues.) I usually have a little beneficial juice in sparkling water, a banana or grapefruit or some seasonal find like cherries or watermelon, and a few dried figs or prunes. So it comes out to 1 serving juice, 1-2 servings fresh fruit, 1-2 servings dried fruit. I enjoyed the thread about carbs and long-term health/weight loss. I'm also fortunate to lose weight at a decent pace as long as I avoid the avoids, I don't have to tweak it much further. Maybe once I get the basics down pat, I'll tweak it a little. They say the last ten pounds are hardest to lose. Not to say that I don't have plenty of the typical nonnie-O health problems though...pylori, food sensitivities, autoimmunity, hypothyroid and a few other weird syndromes/disorders. I do have very little grain, rice bores me, and more than a few bites of most nonnie neutral grains makes my joints ache a little (especially now that I'm jogging). I'd say my grain servings are less than half a serving, less than once a day, so I think that fits in the recommendations (0-3 servings a week, is it?). Do need to eat more veggies though. Can't keep up with Tom's kale intake, even when I eat all I can chew at each meal, and the veggies I buy tend to go stale before I remember to cook them. Collards at the store always look bad, maybe I'll get some frozen ones. I'm trying to make my meal preparation priorities 1. meat, 2. veggie...I'm lucky to get to 2 with a screaming toddler who's patience has already run out by then. Everything else is a snack whenever I can grab it. I guess he forces food combining on me. Hmmm. I feel a blog coming on... RE: Fruits for > > yes, it's a typo, should have been 3-5 a day in LR4YT. Guest guest
Good....good. I thought I was gonna have to come and raid your kitchen LOL. Trust me, the band is still there. Girl you have 5 more weeks, patience is the name of the game right now. Remember, this is not a time for losing but for healing. The real losing begins after restriction. (Just keep that in mind ok?) M PS You sound just like me after banding, I was worried about EVERYTHING. It will get better. This is all new and you are getting used to different things happening. M I did mean broth packet, not noodles. LOL. But don't tempt me Robin (where did my band go? I feel like it's not even there anymore.)
