Guest guest
Perhaps you need to see another Dr, high ketones are first indicative of type I diabetes, ask your Dr to test his Blood Glucose levels. My son was Dx'd at 2yo he is now 16yo. Blessings Conrad In , " kimdabney " <kimdabney@...> wrote: > > What a lousy year this has been for our boy's health. Guest guest
My NT son does this periodically. We thought at first it was an infection, gave cranberry juice, but it didn't seem to help. It would get so bad at times that we couldn't leave the house because he would literally have to go every minute or so and be very distressed if he couldn't go right away. When this is happening, often very little comes out and he has to really push or work to make it come out. He is always agitated and easily upset at these times. It would seem to come and go without any pattern that I could see. The first clue that I got was one day when it was completely gone, he had some pineapple on an empty stomach and BAM! he's peeing every 30 seconds or so the rest of the day. I happened to open up Dr Rapp's book by chance to a page saying that frequent urination can be an allergic reaction. I discovered son after that that he has Histadelia, which is high blood levels of histamine, and once on a low histamine diet the problem went away. Now, if he eats a high histamine food, the peeing comes right back. Pineapple is extremely high histamine, as are all berries, tomato products, fish, anything cultured or fermented or aged, and all the common allergenic foods such as milk, eggs, and nuts can be (depending on how a person reacts). I haven't really figured this issue out. Maybe your son is having allergies? The peeing could be an atypical allergic reaction. At first I used the diet just a s away to test if this was the problem. You can also have a blood test done to measure histamine levels. Some people think think this issue is caused by under-methylation, and can improve with methylation support. There are also supplements you can use to flush histamine out of the body (SAM-e is very good for this). Some people think the high histamine levels just mean that the person is being exposed to things they're allergic to. I'm suspecting that this is all tied to yeast overgrowth somehow too. Some other symptoms of Histadelia are anxiety, obsessive compulsive tendencies (even full blown OCD), mood swings, depression, sensory issues, restlessness, and more. Most people seem to only have some of the symptoms. ALso, it relates to having high copper levels and low zinc levels and seems to occur often with pyrroluria. It is strongly genetic and adults with it can have alcoholism, drug addiction, and or mental health issues (especially depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia). -Sierra > > > > What a lousy year this has been for our boy's health.
