Guest guest
I have a flu question... I keep reading that approx 36,000 people in the US die of the flu every year... is that actually deaths caused by the flu, or by complications of the flu? Could some of these deaths be caused by liver overload because acetaminaphen was taken and the body couldn't detox properly? Also ~ I did read that many of the children, at least 40% one report stated, that died of the flu this year had other underlying health conditions, such as MS. Were these deaths caused by flu, or by complications of their existing disease? Just wondering... ~

They like to have a category to put a death in This is 36,000 people that the death certificate says flu, I guess The death can be from anything and if the doctor says death was from the flu that is what goes on the death certificate Who knows if they were tested for the virus. Who knows if the testing for the virus means anything. Who even knows if there is a virus. Of course it can be from Tylenol and liver problems. It can be from anything. Drug interactions of any kind, bad nutrition, on and on. Did they die from vaccine-caused flu? > >Also ~ I did read that many of the children, at least 40% one report stated, >that died of the flu this year had other underlying health conditions, such >as MS. Who knows........I guess if they got the 'flu' and it was what lead to their death, it caused their death, but in combo with the other things. Nothing is as simple as allopathy likes to make it. From a homeopathic perspective, they died because their vital force couldn't cope with the whole picture and they died. How many deaths could be prevented with NO vaccines, use of homeopathy and nutrition and on and on. > >Just wondering... > >~ Just sad -------------------------------------------------------- Sheri Nakken, R.N., MA, Classical Homeopath Vaccination Information & Choice Network, Nevada City CA & Wales UK $$ Donations to help in the work - accepted by Paypal account vaccineinfo@... voicemail US 530-740-0561 (go to http://www.paypal.com) or by mail Vaccines - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm Homeopathy On-Line course - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/homeo.htm ANY INFO OBTAINED HERE NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS MEDICAL OR LEGAL ADVICE. Guest guest
Jo, Same here.Year before last and his healthy sister and hubby all got the flu shot. This last fall only was able to get it.We were sent a letter from his rheumy saying to get it for him anywhere we could find it,even if it was at a grocery store.Luckily his peds office had plenty.Other then a sore arm from it being IM no side effects. Guest guest
My daughters rheumy always recommends she get its....All of us got it and Medcare place new of our situation and the shortage and told us we will be top of the list next year. We luck out and the kids done before the shortage announced and sweet doctor did my dh and myself and after she new about my daughter.....Terri Flu question G'day all, Has anyone had any advice about the flu shot and JRA? Wondering about the pros/cons for Bayly. I know it's not a 'live' virus, so should be ok, shouldn't it? Lord knows, we don't want him to come down with a shocker this winter... he's already feeling the effects of these cold starts. Hope all are well as can be, Jo Bayly, 3, extended oligo
Guest guest
Hi Jo, I'll chime in that our rheumy definitely recommends the flu shot and also for all immediate family members living with the jra child. With the shortage last fall, only Hunter got it and we all didn't. Luckily, none of us got the flu. I was thinking about you over the weekend...My 2nd and 3rd grader are studing Oz for the month of May and they have big projects due this week. I was trying to find the post you gave a while back with lots of fun aussie phrases and couldn't find it. I wound up finding an ausie to english dictionary on the web and got some good ones for the kids to share in class. I kept them clean....there is some really serious slang down under. I did tell my kids about " bush oysters " , " who opened their lunch " and " liquid laugh " . Those were good enough for about a half hour of hilarious antics. Hunter made a model of the Sydney Opera House and my daughter will be making pavlava. Stacia and Hunter 9 systemic, iritis

Guest guest
My rhuemi thinks all JRAers should have the flu vaccine since we are immune suppressed.. but uh honestly I have never listened.. I know thats horrible, but there are like 5 strains of the flu and my experience with the vaccine is I end up with the one flu strain I didn't get vaccinated for.. But as long as the doc says its ok then its up to you
Guest guest
We use Vitamin D3, olive leaf, oregano oil, lomatium and vitamin C. Hi Sandy, I would never give Tamiflu, particularly to a child. It was banned in Japan 2 years ago for serious side effects. Here's an article you might want to read. http://tinyurl.com/kldp3b On Oct 18, 2009, at 11:02 AM, sandydiego06 wrote: > Does anybody know what I can give my little guy, 39 months old to > prevent the flu symptoms? Guest guest
Thanks ! Good to know. I sent it on to my friendds and family. My 7 year old niece and several of her friends just finished or are taking Tamiflu, so I also sent it to my sister-in-law to share. > Does anybody know what I can give my little guy, 39 months old to > prevent the flu symptoms? Guest guest
Another good option once your child is already sick is ViraStop- it is an antiviral enzyme made by Enzymedica. We always have it on hand. I also got another enzyme from them called MucoStop which helps break down excess mucous in the body. My family just started getting the flu on friday and have been dosing ourselves like crazy and are only mildly sick- of course, there's no way to know how sick we would have been otherwise. First thing is to be taking adequate vitamin D every day- you can have your levels tested, but many people seem to need at least 1,000 units (I forget which units this is) every day. At least several thousand mgs of vitamin C is also a good idea (unless you have really bad oxalate problems), also zinc helps. We use OLE every day when we are sick. Other antivirals include Lauricidin, St 's Wort, and Larix powder. We've had a lot of luck with Larrea: http://www.naturamart.com/biogenesis-nutraceuticals-larrea-plus-90-capsules.html I know there are a lot more that I'm not thinking of right now. I highly recommend ViraStop. Keep in min dhtough, it has to be taken on an empty stomach or it won't do anything! Oh, yeah, and DON'T take Tamiflu!!! -Sierra > > Does anybody know what I can give my little guy, 39 months old to prevent the flu symptoms? Guest guest
Our family all got through the PANDEMIC HORRIFIC flu with daily vitamin D3, C and elderberry/zinc/echinacea by NOW. It truly wasn't horrific but a mild flu thanks to Dr. Mercola and the many who expose our governments ploy with the PANDEMIC word. I have a friend who I talk to often on facebook who says she vaccinated both her children 6 and 9 yrs old because they were both at risk as they both have neurological disorders. I was blown away by this response from her after all the postings I've put on facebook revealing the truth behind this whole PANDEMIC crap!!! I probably don't need to reveal that my friend works for the world renown Mayo Clinic....AHG!!! > > > > Does anybody know what I can give my little guy, 39 months old to prevent the flu symptoms? Guest guest
I bought Oil of Oregano by natural Factors, Olive leaf Extract by HERB PHARM and Elderberry Liquid Extract (Sambucus Nigra) by Quantum Health. I had a hard time choosing the brand to buy because I know that some of you have said to be care of the product you buy and make sure of xyz. Can any of you advise me on any of these products, such as stay away from this or that and then dosing for a 3yr3mo old boy and suggestions on when to give it and if it can be mixed in baby food. Thanks so much for your help! Guest guest
> How do you administer OOO or OLE? Is it in tincture form? I used capsules. You can also put the oils on the feet. Both of them taste relatively nasty, so I would recommend capsules or transdermal. Dana
