Guest guest
I keep trying to add enzymes and it increases constipation each time. Mostly i am doing the nofenol between meals for yeast. We are on 2 million units of nystatin (spread over 4 daily doses) per day. Do candex or candinese tend to constipate? I feel like an enzyme is a good next thing to do but we are also on miralax to help the constipation but even w/ that a very small amount of enzyme is constipating. Thanks for any thoughts. We have only been doing the nystatin for about 6 weeks and are in die off. regression of behaviors and anxiety primarily. Here are some constipation ideas http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm Miralax can cause problems, so best to determine why he is constipated, and move to something else as soon as you can http://www.danasview.net/miralax.htm Dana
Guest guest
My son was on Miralax for a while. We have had just as good of results on Magnesium. He takes 300 mg in the morning with breakfast. We use Natural Calm and just mix it with a little water and then add it to juice, You can also give it to them at bed time and it helps some people sleep. He has been constipation free since we started using it. I would start at 150 and work your way up to 300 by watching what it does to him. One day his constipating was so bad because I skipped it for a few days that I gave him an extra dose and he was cleaned out by that afternoon . Guest guest
I can't decide if they're constipating or if they slow motility in our house but recently I've added Reuteri probiotic and it seems to move everyone along. It's not expensive $8. We also routinely use magnesium either Oxypowder for the most contipated inclined of my kids or Mag. Glycinate for the others and magnesium is needed to support other supplements like Calcium. Good luck.
Guest guest
The only thing that helps constipation here are Epsom salt baths, heavy probiotics, and in extreme cases (as in hasn't gone in a day and a half) we do the Vit. C ascorbic powder with a palm source. We start with half teaspoon mixed in juice and keep dosing until there is a bowel movement. We've never had to go beyond a couple of doses. We keep daily dosing until there are consistent daily bowel movements, so we have gone a 3-4 day cycle of needing the powder Vit. C to prompt bowel movements before everything evens out and gets back to normal. I try to stick to their normal body rhythm, so for my son, that would mean if he hasn't had a bowel movement by 3pm and he needed Vit. C the day before, he's getting it again, until he has a bowel movement. The latest it's ever gone is needing it still on the fourth day. I'd start with a low dose, maybe 1/4 tsp. because the Vit. C will eventually kick in, and you want to prompt a normal bowel movement, not explosive painful bowel movements. You can always increase the dose by a 1/4 tsp. at a time. A couple of quick tips, combined with Epsom salt baths immediately following the Vit. C dosing, soak the child for 15 min. in warm water bath with a tablespoon Epsom salts, and it's possible the child won't be able to finish the bath without needing a potty break. constipation and enzymes during antifungal treatment...
