Guest guest
I am still interested and will be faxing the application tomorrow. Thanks, Tami *UPDATE* Opening up a study for TCM treatment and Autism The response to this was a bit more than I expected. I have had over 20 people interested, some with multiple children. I feel honored that so many are wanting to give this a shot. I will be taking more than three or four, unlike I initially thought and I truly wish I could accept every child into the study, but since none of this is " funded " I just don't have the financial resources. If anyone is still interested feel free to contact me for an application. If you already have an application please get it back to me asap or let me know it is coming, I am hoping to make a decision by the end of this weekend. I have not decided, and won't do so until I see all the apps, how I am going to do the study. I have two ideas about treatment and I am considering dividing up the participants and treating each group differently. I am also considering treating all the kids how I think will be most effective immediately. I am also considering different groups of kids with different issues. I want to have all the applications in hand to decide this and then this will tell me how many children will be accepted. My *goal* is to get all the logistics figured out, patients diagnosed, and herbs in hand to start by February 1st. Thank You Ormonde, L.Ac. Guest guest
Amazingly I have only had one person ask why I haven't done TCM on my own son before. I would want to know this information if I were you and interested in the study or my services, but I think perhaps people are being shy about asking. I want to share our story, I think it is important and since I wrote it up already I am just going to paste it here, it is a very condensed version... ************************************************************* I have a seven yo son who was diagnosed right before turning 3. Im actually really surprised no one has asked why I haven't done this before now! I'd want to know if I were going to use my services. I've been waiting but you've been the first. So here is our story: Jan 04 - my dad died very unexpectantly, really through me for a loop, I really miss that guy, anyway, three days later my cat died very unexpectedly, he was only 5 - I really miss him too. Feb 04 - we took my son and 1 yo daughter to an aquarium, where it hit me full force that my child was seriously different than others and it was more than just talking late, I went home reasearched and sure enough - Autism Seriously the worst days of my life. I got info on the GFCF diet and enzymes at the same time. I started acupuncture and it was a nightmare, his sensory was so off it was pure torture for him. I just couldn't do it to him. And I was so distraught in general that I couldn't take any more pain, in any form. Started enzymes, and they were HUGE, and off we went. Started all the therapies OT/PT/PRT yadda yadda yadda, we had consistent gains and it was all I could handle. My daugther starts appearing to have issues as we hit the 2 year mark. We start her in therapies, at first we thought it was Selective Mutism, but she started talking I think she is just a bit aspie (TG we didn't vaccinate her!), she is fine now for the most part. So now we have two kids not even two years apart getting therapy. My husband had a vasectomy after Tristan was diagnosed. Sometime in 05, 9 months post vasectomy, post 6 month with zero sperm count, I get pregnant Chug chug along, move back and forth from Cali to Idaho (to get free therapy) and now back to Cali. Kids are getting more under control, mom can breathe once in awhile, start biomed. Oct 08 warrior mom arrives - hey what about b12? join b12 list and wow sucess with TCM from other members, hey I know TCM, lol. Hmm I can do that, I should have been doing that, why the heck haven't I done that???? Nov/Dec - research, ready, set... Jan - go
Guest guest
Hi everyone, we are counting down the hours. I have sent approximately 30 applications out and have received 13 back. I have eliminated 4 of those. I was shooting for ten participants, so there is essentially, at this point, at least one spot left, possibly more depending on the final study design. If you are still interested but haven't gotten the application in, now is the time to do it! Thanks everyone, this is really exciting and I can't wait to get started. Ormonde, L.Ac.
