At the University of Southampton we are conducting a nationwide study on

a cold and flu website developed by a team of researchers led by

Professor Lucy Yardley and Professor Little. I would be very

grateful if you would post the message below on your discussion board.

This study may be of benefit to your members who are currently suffering

from a cold or flu.

If you would like any other details, please do not hesitate to contact

me.

We need 2000 participants for the study and so your help with this is

very much appreciated.

Try our expert advice for your cold and flu symptoms!

We have developed " The Internet Doctor " - a website that gives you

advice on how to manage cold and flu symptoms, including swine flu. This

advice has been provided by a leading international expert on colds and

flu and will be personalised based on your symptoms.

If you have a cold or flu and have 10 minutes to spare, try our website:

www.internetdr.org.uk

<../../../../planforabalancedlife/www.internetdr.org.uk>

If you do not currently have a cold or flu then save this email for

later, or send it to someone who does!

If you take part in the study you will be asked to complete a short (one

page) questionnaire and 2 short follow-ups, and you will be entered into

a prize draw to win £100.

The study has been approved by the School of Psychology, University of

Southampton Ethics Committee. Any information you give us will be kept

entirely confidential.

For more information, please contact j.joseph@...

Many thanks,

Judy
