Guest guest
Hi Listmates, Got an urgent question and wonder if anyone can help. My DAN has prescribed Gentamicin for my son (18mg every 8 hours)3 times each day, for 7 days. I wonder if the antibiotics has to be given at EXACTLY 8 hour intervals? I have a problem with the last dose of the day on this 8 hours schedule because I have to wake him up for this last dose and it then becomes a real struggle getting him back to sleep. I have already started on the course and last night he stayed up and cried for a long time after being woken up.......... .and now I feel so sleep deprived. Any input would be greatly appreciated! !! Many thanks
Guest guest
No it's not like chelation. Anywhere between 7-9 hours apart will do. > > >Hi Listmates, > >Got an urgent question and wonder if anyone can help. > >My DAN has prescribed Gentamicin for my son (18mg every 8 hours)3 >times each day, for 7 days. Guest guest
, No it does not need to be exact. Give it 8, 2, and 8. You may give it earlier if he is up. Separate the doses by 6 hours at least if you can.
