Guest guest
Hello Fredrik Looks like you have struck lucky - SNT tends to work very well or sends them hyper stimmy, thats if you can get it in! I have heard of such quick positive reactions before - I would keep going. Add some extra Magnesium if he starts to get hyper Good luck MAndi in UK have search the archives for articles about SNT. As I understand this is a rather popular supplement, But when you search the group there is a lot of compalints about hyperactivity and loose stools conected with SNT. My son (soon to be 4 yrs with moderate- severe autism) has had 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) for the last 5-6 days. I dont know what to believe but there is a LOT of eye contact with people (outside the family), more use of words, better focus. Maybe its to early to draw any conclusions, but I do have hopes for SNT. What are your expirences with this product ? Good or Bad, I´d really like to hear them
Guest guest
Hi Fredrik, You'll also see postings about additives to SNT. We've used Superbuthera with my son for awhile now. He's 6.5 years old. We started on a liquid apple supplement (includes p5p for B6 source). We switched to a variety without A & D, but with high levels of B6 (11250%RDA) following some blood tests that showed he was really difficient in B6. He has 6ml a day, split into 4*1.5ml doses. We mix with a little fizzy water and give it to him with an applicator (syringe without needle). We started him on 1 ml a day and built up over a couple of weeks. We've had absolutely no problems whatsoever. You're doing the right thing with most supplements, starting at a lot dose and building up. If you're not having problems, but you are seeing benefits, I'd slowly build up to the target dose for your son. There are lots of supplements that work for some children but not others. We always have trouble with Magnesium Citrate, for example. Hope that helps, Stuart >From: Fredrik Hjelm <fredrik@...> >Reply-Desperate4DMPSEurope >Desperate4DMPSEurope >Subject: Super Nu Thera >Date: Mon, 13 Jun 2005 11:00:43 +0200 > >Hello group >I have search the archives for articles about SNT. Guest guest
Hi Fredric, You recently asked about SNT & personal experience. We started giving SNT to Alysia about 6yrs ago & at that time we noticed she was more alert & more verbal. Recently I messed up big time with my on-line order & forgot to include SNT I then phoned & asked for it to be added to my order but it took longer to process & I didn't get it till a week later. I hadn't related the fact that Alysia hadn't been taking her normal 20ml (2 x 10ml) a day with her recent negative self-esteem (most unusual) until my husband mentioned it - then I remembered that Dr Kartzinel, when he suggested SNT had said that it was believed that it counteracted depression especially in teen years!!! After 3 days of no SNT Alysia seemed uptight & was dissolving into tears if we just picked her up on something like to talk nicely to her brother. On the 4th morning she was taking ages getting ready for school, & I shouted, not in a telling off voice, 'hurry up or we're gonna be late' she then burst into tears & went into a bit thing of how bad she was, how she let people down, 'I'm disobedient'over & over. It was to say the least really concerning if not heartbreaking to hear her talking about herself in such a derrogatory way. SNT arrived for 4th day evening & since that dose she's been back to normal, possibly even more laid back & chatty!!! Coincidence - can't think of anything else that sparked it??? Guest guest
Really fascinating I've got a nine-years-old-going-on-nineteen daughter. I too have found SNT helps with her behaviour. She tried it and it really disagreed with her. If she plays me up, I threaten her with having 5ml of it. Instant improvement in behaviour - within seconds. >From: " sharonbarmit " <sharonarmit@...> >Reply-Desperate4DMPSEurope >Desperate4DMPSEurope >Subject: Re: Super Nu Thera >Date: Mon, 20 Jun 2005 11:05:29 -0000 > >Hi Fredric, >You recently asked about SNT & personal experience. Guest guest
We introduced Nu Thera (a slightly different formulation) last fall. My advice would be to start low and ramp up. I started with 1/2 cap/day and ramped up to 2 caps/day over a couple of weeks. However, at 2 caps/day I got some hyperness and a yeast flare. I went back down to 1.5 caps/day (1/2 a cap with each meal) and those problems resolved, and we've stayed there until recently. I'm trying to ramp up some more recently to maybe 2-2.5 caps/day based on his OAT test which recommends more B vitamins. I'm seeing some hyperness, but no yeast so better than last time I tried to go higher. We'll see if it settles out. (Max's Mom) > > Hi All, > My son just finished a round of Diflucan. Guest guest
>When a vitamin says it has 250mg of Vit. C - and the serving size is 2 >capsules-does that mean that you have to take the two capsules in >order to get the 250mg of Vit. C???? Yes. Guest guest
Hi All, Does anyone know if it is o.k to give Super Nu Thera with digestive enzymes? I assume it is since I am told to give the SNT with breakfast and he takes digestive enzymes with food! If anyone has any experience with these I would appreciate any input! Thanks so much Smiles Lori
Guest guest
> Does anyone know if it is o.k to give Super Nu Thera with digestive enzymes? My son required enzymes with his B vitamins for a while, so yes, you can give SNT with enzymes. Dana
