Guest guest
> I was wondering if one suspected heavy metals as a problem and also knew foods were a big problem, would it be better to do the enzymes first before pursuing the heavy metals? Yes. I used HNI enzymes to get my son stabilized. Then chelated with ALA. The ALA eliminated most of the food issues and allowed me to remove the enzymes [after about 50 rounds]. There were certain other food issues that required certain supplements to resolve. > Would there be any downside or danger to doing that? It worked very well here. > What if one had to increase the enzymes very slowly due to being very sensitive to change and it would take months to get to the full dosage, would it still be better to do it first before starting the metals? In my opinion, yes. > But I've also heard those who emphasize the heavy metals say that getting rid of those took care of a lot of food sensitivities. Yes, but the enzymes helped deal with most of the food issues until the metals were removed. Dana
Guest guest
I agree with Dana that the enzymes are needed first to help with healing the gut and getting more of the nutrients from food and supplements. We did not do enzymes first, we had started on IV chelation after the diet was in place. Huge gains but the gut still needed healing and we went to enzymes. They really helped heal his gut with probiotics and zinc. His heavy metal load still went down, but I think it's important to start healing the gut first and then address chelation.
