Guest guest
My short question is that for a variety of reasons, I want to go directly to a lab to get my DS tested for biomedical testing and would like suggestions on the " best " lab to go through. I understand that I will have to go through a medical provider. I have friends who can do this/draw blood, if need be, and I know I'll have to pay out of pocket since my HMO (Kaiser) will not pay for it. The reason why I do not want to go to a DAN provider at this point is that my DS is seeing a variety of providers (therapists, acupuncturist, osteopath, chiropractor, etc.), and I don't want to introduce him to yet another provider at this point, but I really want to get him tested after experimenting with diet changes and enzymes. Has anyone found that after lab testing that some allergen, for example, that was not indicated on a test result was actually a culprit? Has anyone tried what I want to do? I'd rather stick him all at once, rather than do it piecemeal, but would love advice on any and all fronts. BTW, I live in the East Bay in California (Oakland/Berkeley) area. -Jen
