reaction to MB12 shots?

Hi,

My son is still on antifungal (DAY72) but we have changed to Nizoral (50mg/day)

for the past 3 days.

I retried MB12 shots on him last Wednesday, and he started touching his tongue a

lot (which I understand is a positive sign that he he responding to the shot).

He performed exceptionally well at his ABA for the next 3 days, very attentive,

focused, fast response and riding his bike real fast too.

Unfortunately, I also began to see his old stubborn behaviour returning and

defiant behaviour more, along with aggitation, and refusing to follow our

instructions (like getting on the train, going home, finishing play etc) along

with super meltdowns (throwing himself on the floor, crying...in an absolute fit

basically and refusing to compromise, losing control of himself), refusing to go

into ABA, throwing things on the floor when things don't go his way. He also

seems more wakeful in his sleep. He is also screaming in a high pitched scream

more often and yelling very loudly from time to time.

Are these emotional outbursts and meltdowns just side-effects of the MB12 or

could this be a yeast flare (as vit B feeds yeast)? For info, I am also giving

him everyday OLE as antibacterial control, cuturelle (2caps 2X per day), custom

probiotic about 200 billion, as Factor 4 probiotic 40billion.

Many thanks for any input.

Regards,

Hi ,

We had regression, as well as progression, at the beginning of MB12 shots. I

think I read that the adjustment period lasts up to 6 weeks, including sleep

disturbances. Also, my son needed Foilc Acid to process the shots - it was

suggested by Dana. It passed, as I hope your sons will. We were giving every 3

days, but found it was not enough, as his body would " run out " sooner. Now we

give them every day. If I miss a day, it's noticeable.

Hope this helps,

Susi

It sounds like yeast to me.

The OLE would also tend to increase yeast, if it is addressing viruses.

Try increasing the yeast protocol.

We did MB-12 for almost four months and unfortunately did not get rid of this

behavior. Tried everything, folinic, extra magnesium, salt baths, etc. Many get

past the aggression you mentioned, but we did not.

We had the same aggressive results with B12. Adding folic and folinic did not

help. We dc'd the B12 and spent a few weeks giving 5-methyl tetrahydrofolate. We

had no aggression when restarting the B12 and have continued to give the 5-MTHF

as a daily supp.

From what I understand,

Methylators can be quite an individual thing and aggression and irritabilty is

not uncommon. This was the case with my son, he did quite well at first but then

had the above problems.

IMO the problem with shots is that it is difficult to adjust the dose down to a

level where there might not be these effects.

Sometimes the aggression can last for quite a few weeks after stopping MB12.

That is not to say that it might not be worth revisiting MB12 at a further

stage, but it might be worth looking out for these kind of problems.

As often said it's not a one size fits all.

Cheers Kenny
