Guest guest
Hi All, We have been agressively treating for yeast with my son over the past year or so. Everytime we knock the yeast down my son start clicking or snapping his tongue like crazy. We know the yeast is down because there is a lot less repetitive behaviors, red ears, etc. But I am wondering about this tongue clicking. Some have suggested it might be parasites? But I am also wondering if it could be bacteria. Has anyone else's child snapped/clicked their tongue and has anyone successfully treated for parasites or bacteria to get rid of it? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , I think first you should find out for sure if this is parasites. I have never heard of the two being related. But, if you do find out that your son does have parasites, or you suspect him to have, I would recommend taking a high protease formula along with a high potency digestive formula with each meal. Enzymes can support the immune system's efforts to rid parasitic cells from our bodies. Proteases in the bloodstream are used by the immune system to break down the protein cell to allow the immune cells to destroy the parasites. Either way even if it wasn't parasites and it ended up being a virus of some sort, the high protease formula should support his immune function and assist in removing the virus, any fungal forms, toxins, bacteria, etc. The digestive enzyme would help to enhance the digestion and assimilation of the food he's eating while reducing his body's need to produce more digestive enzymes. Basically, you'd be helping his body out. Make sense? Many families have found that Digest Gold & Virastop from Enzymedica have helped them out tremendously in similar situations. Although it may not have been under these same circumstances, the need and reason of taking the enzymes were the same, ie. parasites, bacteria, etc. If you wanted to go a step further even, you could give him a probiotic daily to improve the imbalance of bacteria in his intestines. You could try Pro-Bio for this if you wanted. I really hope this helps! I'm sure times like this can be frustrated for you and your family. Feel free to ask me any other questions if you need. Guest guest
Hi , Tongue clicking here seems to be related to Clostridia overgrowth. We have been able to control it using partial SCD diet (at least eliminating beans/legumes that bacteria feed on in the gut, as well as very limited sugar). Whenever he has too much sugar-we allow it once a week--he starts clicking for a day or two until we get his gut under control again. I know it's not yeast because this clicking went away last December when we had to give antibiotics, and it was gone while we were on them and then came back stronger after we ended the antibiotics. We also use digestive enzymes with meals, and some probiotic; the thing that seens to help the most, though, is the dietary limitations...especially limiting sugar. Guest guest
Satia, Thank you. We wondered if it might be bacteria. We have recently started giving him even bigger doses of probiotics. He had a stool test recently and that showed that he had very little good bacteria. Hopefully over time the good bacteria will squeeze out the bad. Thanks for the tip on the sugar. We try to limit it but he does have fruit and a little fruit juice nearly every day. From: satiaschwarz <satiaschwarz@...> Subject: Re: tongue clicking = parasites for sure?
