Guest guest
My 2 year old son was just put on Septra, an antibiotic for bacteria. He has no yeast per a few stool tests..but his pathogenetic bacteria gets worse and worse. His benefitial bacteria lactobacillus is NG after months of probiotics conatining it. Is there anything I can do to help get rid of the pathogenetic bacteria while on this antibiotic and after? We have tried OOO, Uva Ursi, and Garlic with no good results. He is on afp peptizyde and we just added Tri-enza again. Any advice would be really appreciated : ) Thanks

A while back, my husband was rx Septra DS [double strength] for a bacterial infection. It caused him LOTS of problems, so he had to stop taking it after only 3 days. I put him on olive leaf extract and he was much better. So if you notice problems with this medication, or it does not address the bacteria problem, you can try OLE and see if it works better.
