Guest guest
My son did not have toe walking before. Today he had started several times of toe walking which I have never seen before. I was so scared. This happened after he had just finished banana for 15 mins. He has started digestive enzyme for 1 week. He is taking Super Nuthera but at very small amount of 1 ml per day. Because the first time when I gave him 2.5 ml, he was very hyperactive with vigours hand-flapping and running. I have just cut off Cal/Mag supplement for one day. Any clue for his toe-walking behaviour. Please help.

Guest guest
Our son started toe walking after his 22 month MMR vaccine. We've got video clips of him between the ages of 10 mos. and 22 mos. that he walked flat footed. We had vision therapy done in LaCrosse WI at Family Vision Center to help strengthen his eye muscles as he struggles with eye tracking. We believed that his toe walking was caused by his visual issues...when our son was prescribed prism lenses to wear as part of his vision therapy he could walk flat footed with the glasses without even knowing he was doing this. His eye doctor believes the toe walking is due to visual disturbances (he views the world up hill) but the double yoked prism glasses bring him back down to our level. We were told that he has binocular vision issues as he struggles with poor tracking skills (eye teaming/eye coordination). We tried the vision therapy for about 3 wks but our son would get nauseated the day after to the point of vomiting. We were told that his vision issues were possibly caused by his vaccinations do to the heavy metals they use for preservatives causing neurological issues thus visual disturbances. We were then advised by another source to stop the vision therapy and do a 6 wk. heavy metal detox (per Cutler) that was very hard on him. We were told that this would help when trying to revisit the vision therapy again this summer. I don't know if constipation or backed up bowels is the issue with him as he does have 2-3 healthy movements a day (I've learned to be a poop patrol..lol!) I have noticed though that since we started allowing him to eat wheat now and then with(Houston Enzymes)that he seems to be walking higher on his toes. Could he have backed up bowels?? I wonder as his stools are not the same and seem more difficult to eliminate. I think there could be some connection with the bowels but how do we explain the prism glasses making him walk flat footed? Maybe both....I really wish we could conquer this toe walking! Please email me personally with success stories..THANKS! lauriejenki@... > > Hi > > Toe walking is typically associated with constipation. > > :-) > > > > . Any clue for his toe-walking behaviour. Guest guest
For us it was food intolerances that caused toe walking. I was so scared. This happened after he had just finished banana for 15 mins. At my house, toe walking was associated with constipation. Bananas are binding, so it may have been that. Bananas also tend to increase yeast, which also can be constipating http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm Dana
Guest guest
I doubt toe walking is related to constipation. My son has poo poo everyday. Most of the time the poo poo is not formed. chrisym > > > > Hi > > > > Toe walking is typically associated with constipation. > > > > :-) > > > > > > > > . Any clue for his toe-walking behaviour. Guest guest
My 3 year old has both issues going on. He needs prism glasses for the visual correction but also suffers from constipation. The glasses have done wonders for him but if he has to go to the bathroom he will still toe walk until he goes. Guest guest
Hi For my son the toe-walking indicated too low a level of serotonin in the gut which was affecting his intestinal motility. He was severely constipated after the 6 month group of shots and it has been a lifetime battle keeping his neurotransmitters balanced. We give him 5htp at night because it is the precursor to serotonin. I also made sure I gave him enough magnesium. He had epsom salt baths every night and we put 2 full cups in his water. He loved this because it was very calming before bed. R
