Guest guest
My 11 yr old started taking HNI AFP-Peptizyde on Oct 21. We gradually increased until Nov 3rd when he was up to one capsule before each meal. During that time, he seemed to be doing well with them. So, on Nov 5, I added HNI Zyme Prime at evening meal only. Today, he had AFP-Pep w/ breakfast and lunch and then both at dinner. He's had some strange BM changes yesterday and today. Yesterday, we noticed " yeasty " BM. (airy, fluffy, spongecake-like as described on danasview.net). Throughout the day, he also had ALOT of loud, " rotten-egg " smelling gas. Today, he's had less gas, but two incidents of diarrhea and one accident (involuntary when passing gas and it was very watery, almost no solids). I'm wondering if this is just adjustment to the enzymes? Did I add ZP too quickly? Is this all a yeast issue? What should I do now to help him avoid accidents tomorrow? Sorry about all the description above, but I know he has major digestive issues and BMs explain alot. If, you know what to look for, which at this point, I don't yet. This is all new to me. We've been CF since mid Sept and GF since Oct 4. He's had sensory issues since toddlerhood, has ADHD symptoms and anxiety, and for months now, has complained about his stomach hurting after most meals. Thanks for your help! in StL
