Guest guest
My doctor has not given me any restrictions. The one thing for me is I have no motility in my esophagus at all so things go down very slowly. For that reason I eat one meal a day usually. That is a restriction I put on myself. For me the amounts are more of a problems. I eat several small meals rather large meals. J.C. diet restrictions > and other experts.. I can eat anything. I still feel some tightness with meat, especially if I am in a hurry, don't chew my food well, and don't drink enough. I sometimes forget to drink because things seem to work so well, but when I forget to drink, I am reminded that I am a vertical swallower with compromised peristalsis....sounds really special, I think. Anyway, I eat steak, chicken, cheese, whatever. even carrots. How long has it been since your surgery? I actually had a steak 7 days after my surgery. It worked out fine. I think my doctor let me eat a lot faster than many doctors do. I was restricted to no meat for the first week, that was all. Oh, and no chips for the first week. Also, I made myself really queasy one day when I drank a coke. I can drink them now, but the carbonation at first made me feel sick. He told me not to drink them at first, and he was right. > > and other experts.. I go back to the surgeon this Wednesday > > for my post op check up. Guest guest
In response to Toni'a post I do not follow a gluten free diet. Foods that I avoid are dairy and soy products. For milk I use rice milk. From Dr. Mercola's site, I've read that there is scientific evidence that avoiding dairy is a good idea. However, there is much less evidence for a wheat free diet, and if it can't be avoided then reducing wheat (gluten) intake may be beneficial. This of course applies to non-celiacs. There is another set of diet recommendations from Dr. Hulda . She is a proponent of elimating phenolic acids, azo dyes, enviromental toxins, parasites, and cleanes. Her primary research is in technology to use various frequences (low), standing waves with a positive offset to help in the process of killing bacteria, and pathogens in the body and\ the food we eat. It makes for an interesting read, and may be worth considering. I haven't taking all of her diet recommendatons up, but it does provide a very thorough guide to inproving ones health. Guest guest
A non-GMO, low-sugar, whole grain, and natural diet keeps symptoms down rather than providing a cure for us. It is part of the cure for others who have posted on this site though. z3 > > Hi. I am learning that diet is just as if not more important than supplements to treat Morgellons. For people that are over this or seeing improvements - what are some diet restrictions you have followed that has helped? I know no sugar must absolutely be elifminated. My goal is to build immunity. >
