Guest guest
Hi, I am thankful for everyone's suggestions last week about my sons sudden eye stims. I have tried them all - upping CLO, dropping CLO, taking out almonds out of the SCDiet (high in oxalates), started Diflucan yesterday, added back in the Valtrex and glutathione cream. So far nothing. He has only done this once, 3 years ago, during OT. It was related to work where she had him spinning, etc. Once in a while he would glance sideways when playing with cars - but that's it. This time it's violent, for lack of a better word. Even shaking his head to get more of a stim. I am lost for answers and hoping someone can suggest something else. It is extremely disturbing to have to look at him right now - I don't even think he knows he is doing it. And I don't understand how a kid that had no stims can get one all of a sudden when he doing so well during recovery? Thanks so much, Susi
Guest guest
I had a similar experience with my dd. She did have a long history of mild, PANDAS-related tics. After we got her on a good anti-pathogen protocol and removed aspartame, her tics disappeared. About a year later, while making progress slow, steady, recovery progress, she went into a very upsetting epiode of extreme tics. Instead of a simple throat clearing or hard blink, she was suddenly jerking her head around, looking at things sideways and even moving her shoulders in wierd ways. She was also VERY tuned out. In our case, we had accidentally mimicked the (early version) biofilm protocol. The culprit was a honey mustard that she had fallen in love with. Over the course of a few weeks, she had gone from occasional use to every meal. The honey mustard had edta in it, and dd is very lead toxic. End result - accidental chelation. Since it took me a couple of days and lots of muscle testing to be sure what had happened, it was too late to prevent redistribution. Since I didn't know there was a chelator in her mustard, I didn't know I needed to " mop up " . If it happened again today, I'd give her some charcoal or clay to try and soak up anything I could. Live and learn. It took about a month forthe big tics to go away, but the acne (which appeared in full force, overnight, same 48 hour period) is still an issue. That was 18 months ago. Good luck, Darla Help please - eye stim still there Hi, I am thankful for everyone's suggestions last week about my sons sudden eye stims. Guest guest
Susi, Is your son taking any enzymes, or increased enzymes since the eye stims started? Guest guest
No,he is not on enzymes at the present time. We are considering restarting them up. Guest guest
Hi, I'm not sure what biofilm is, but I will research it to see if we have accidently started it. My daughter has PANDAS, so at first we thought maybe he has it too - but has not been ill in the past few months. She is getting much better on the SCD and enzymes. Tics are almost gone, thank goodness! He gets no additives, preservatives, etc - so we are totally lost! Thanks Susi
Guest guest
We never did the protocol on purpose, but (if I remember right) it was a process of administering enzymes, anti-pathogens, chelators and then something to mop up, on a timed schedule. When I ran into the info, I realized that I had mimicked steps 1-3, but not step 4. There was (at that time) very clear warnings to NOT skip step 4, which I believe was the source of that episode. I imagine the ever-escalating use of the honey mustard (prior to my administering steps 1-3 unknowingly) had some bearing on how severely she reacted. This is the same mustard used by Chic-Fil-A and a couple other fast food places, and seems to be the same recipe as Ken's Honey Mustard Dressing. I've since found ca-edta in a lot of condiments, so we just try to limit it. I think one of the things that helped bring it down for us were magnesium baths. It's been so long, but somehow I came to a point where I believed she was experiencing some kind of calcium dysregulation and I must have believed the mag would help the cal absorb. I remember healthy oils helping as well, but I used lypo gold to make sure it could absorb. I noticed in one response you said you weren't on enzymes right now. Also think you said the oil didn't help? (Sorry if I remember wrong.) Wondering if you might see more improvement if you add some lipase enzymes to the oils? Guest guest
Whoops - I guess we are going biofilm? He's on mB12 shots,Valtrex, glut cream, probiotics,Diflucan, magnetic clay baths and epsom salts...hmmm.I will think about getting an enzyme from Kirkman that helps with fat absorbtion. And I do have charcoal at home - I just wonder if it's too late to start that? Maybe we did dislodge something. Thanks again,Susi
Guest guest
> I am thankful for everyone's suggestions last week about my sons sudden eye stims. Valtrex and glut cream both tend to increase yeast. You might need more Diflucan, or add something else to it, to control all the yeast. >>Even shaking his head to get more of a stim. This was yeast here. > And I don't understand how a kid that had no stims can get one all of a sudden when he doing so well during recovery? Viral die off can cause tremendous amounts of yeast. I would start there. Dana
