If you are nursing, take the enzymes yourself. Otherwise, I would put a small sprinkle into her bottle and see if that helps. Dana
Guest guest
Is your daughter breast feed or formula. If formula, what kind? Tammy baby colic? Hi there, we have a one month old baby girl and an older 31/2 year old son who is on the spectrum. As an infant, he was super colicky and had severe reflux with failure to thrive. Our little one is also turning out to be quite spitty and uncomfortable but we are reluctant to start the medicines we used with my son (zantac/prilosec) because we are not sure if it contributed to his gut issues by depressing stomache acids and allowing bad bacteria to take root. can anyone recommend a safe herbal remedy or treatment for normal GI upset and issues in babies? Thanks,
Guest guest
Mostly breastfed with a little supplemental formula - we've been using organic isomil advance. She actually seems to spit up more with the breast milk . _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Tammy Kuhn Sent: Saturday, November 29, 2008 12:19 PM Subject: Re: baby colic? Guest guest
I breast feed, actually pumped for 9 months, long story. But my guy had reflux and spit up on any formula I gave him and did beautiful on breast milk. However, we had mystery rashes, I'm sure it was peanuts in my diet that affected him plus other things too I'm sure. There are allergy diets for you to follow, eliminate foods in your diet while nursing. It has to be something from you. Look at the big 8 first, like dairy, wheat, eggs, soy, peanuts, shellfish. Some go completely clean and eat like a turkey sweet potato type diet or lamb and rice. But take it slow, like add a new food each week or two. Keep a food diary and reactions. I only pumped for 9 months and I should have gone longer. It wasn't until I had a freezer full and a " freak " sun burn did it help to dry me up some to stop. When trying to get to formula, I tried soy, and he had a full body rash within a couple hours of a couple ounces. We did Carnation good start and he did spit that up less than any of the formulas we tried, but this was 6 years ago now. Mildly allergic to milk, major allergy to soy and peanuts! My oldest PPD-NOS was a spitter, terrible and never had breast milk due to complications. My second food allergy son was a dream to feed and didn't hurl all over non stop like the first. I had my PPD-NOS guy skin tested for the big 8, he showed nothing. Doing a probiotics for yourself even, your diet, and hang in there. Wish I had. Tammy baby colic?
