Guest guest
Has anyone here already tried nuerofeedback? I saw it on YouTube and it looks very interesting, there's an 8 year old girl on the video who is non verbal and within 6 weeks she started talking. Can anyone share their experience with nuerofeedback please Thanks
Guest guest
Were doing Neurofeedback from Dr. Lindon (google him and you'll find lots of info) for my 7 year old son and noticing slight but consistent gains. We have only done 17 sessions and most people don't really start seeing gaines until past 20. Usually the doctor will recommend 60 sessions. We are doing the neurofeedback mostly due to my sons inability to sit still and concentrate. He fidgets and gets distracted very easily which causes problems in the classroom. Guest guest
There is a " biofeedback " group - check it out. Can be very good for ADD/ADHD I've heard - I've got the system to use on my Asperger's/ADHD son but have yet to use it. Looking forward to it though. Guest guest
What does it cost? Can you just do it from your home? After cleaning up our diet basically, we tried gfcf. Just burnt out on it. On our first week of Trienza and No Fenol for fruit snacks. I've been reading about chelation and people claim that's been the most helpful treatment. However, it involves dosing every 3 hrs through the night. I can't imagine doing that, as I have the most horrible sleep problem. Has anyone done chelation without a Dr. that doesn't involve getting up all through the night? One thing at a time, so we're doing enzymes now, but I am researching about both neurofeedback & chelation. I'd like to hear about anyone's experiences. > > > > Has anyone here already tried nuerofeedback? Guest guest
I use NCD (natural cellular defense) which is safe and easy. You can google it. There is DMSA and ALA also. ----- From: jtmk98.535597 Sent: Thursday, October 15, 2009 5:53 AM Subject: Re: nuerofeedback What does it cost? Can you just do it from your home? Guest guest
Chelation isn't that bad. We start Friday night after school and end Monday morning. It is 3 hours during the day, 4 at night. Like Sunday night it was 7:30 p.m., then did 10:30 p.m., I stayed up. Got up at 2:30, I'm usually up once in the night to pee, then 6:45, kids get up for school. My husband gets up early in the morning, so if a dose hits like 5-6, often he'll do it. I like to sleep in on the weekends and the kids let me so I get some extra sleep! It works, not bad at all. Much less work than a baby for sure!!!!!!! Worth it! Guest guest
We chelated with DMSA with terrific results. We did not do it through the night. We dosed 100 mg 7 am, 3pm, 10 pm....We did this for almost 3 years and dropped lead from 55 to 20 on a UTM. Hope that helps....Keri On Tue, Nov 10, 2009 at 8:39 PM, Tammy Kuhn <tkuhn1@...> wrote: > > > Chelation isn't that bad. Guest guest
Hi Keri I'm genuinely pleased that you had success with this schedule and I'm sure many kids have done well on this kind of schedule and dosing, but many may also have got worse, IMO this carries a risk which many of our kids might not get away with. I personally would prefer to chelate on a low dosage (1/2 mg per pound body weight) and to a chelators half-life which in the case of DMSA is every 4 hours around the clock. http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/Andy_dose_sched.html Cheers Kenny > > > > > > > > Has anyone here already tried nuerofeedback? Guest guest
I was just providing another option for sheduling. We did not use Andy's protocol. Some poeple are so overwhelmed by the idea of every 4 hours that they won't even attempt chelation.(for us, my DAN! who is quite prominent believed this to be ok) For those people, it is worth a shot. In truth ,our biggest gains and progress came through IV chelation but that is for a different thread. Have a good Wed.
