Guest guest
Jen, I am so glad enzymes will work for your son! Isn/t it wonderful when they are comfortable again! Enzymes working usually indicate that digestion isn't working properly. Your body makes enzymes naturally in the GI tract to break down food and absorb it. If there are not enough enzymes, or there is a leaky gut, etc. then food does not go where it should. They are wonderful for reducing inflammation in the GI tract as well. Guest guest
Zyme Prime helps to digest starches, so it seems as if your child may have an issue with them. There is something called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet which has helped my son tramendously, but it is extremely difficult to implement. If you are interested in looking into it, you may want to check out pecanbread.com or Elaine Gottshall's book, Breaking the Vicious Cycle. You may be able to address the issue with the enzymes alone, but if he goes back to loose stool, that may be a signal to look into the above. Good luck!
