Guest guest
My son is 4. We have been doing biomed for 2 years. He was on fluconazole for several months. We just recently stopped to do a stool test to see where we were at, and have not restarted as we have seen huge gains since he stopped both in mood and speech (although his scripting is way up as well) While he was on the fluconazole he had lots of speech gains, but tantrummed and was very angry/defiant (activated charcoal helped some). He threw up one morning about 1 week after we stopped the fluconazole and has been having increasingly soft poops for 2 weeks, and now has explosive diarhea 3-7X per day. I don't know if this is a yeast resurgance or possibly just a gut bug (bacterial or viral). Strangely his mood is still better with constant diarhea than it was on the fluconazole (tells me how hard that was on his system). My question is ... is there something that I should give him to help the diahrea (regardless of the cause) and ... does anyone know how to tell if it is a yeast resurgance or if it is some type of intestinal bug. I did just order the yeast/immunity mix (I forgot the name) from Kirkman. And he is still getting biotin which I thought would hold off the yeast until we started a new anti fungal. although maybe we are not giving him enough. (He is getting 1000mcg (sublingual) and has 5mg magnesium in his multi mineral to help with absorption) Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

This sounds like die off, or he did not tolerate the fluc. >>Strangely his mood is still better with constant diarhea than it was on the fluconazole (tells me how hard that was on his system). It may have been eliminating the yeast, but he may not have tolerated it. > My question is ... is there something that I should give him to help the diahrea (regardless of the cause) If it is yeast coming back, try something else. Here are some ideas, both rx and OTC http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm > I did just order the yeast/immunity mix (I forgot the name) from Kirkman. So your dose above would not have been much help for my son during certain protocols that really tended to increase yeast. Dana
