Guest guest
Hi, Herre is what our DAN! doc told us in regards to my sons bm's. He would go up to 7 days without one! The problem might not be fiber, but the muscles that push have atrophied (gone limp from non use) and can not push one out. Sometimes you need help. ALso, if you are using enzymes, sometimes they can bind kids up a little. We use Pedialax glycerin suppositories when needed. My son actually was in so much discomfort from being backed up that he let me use one. After about 5 seconds he hopped up and said he had to go. It worked with no side effects, and now he asks for them occasionally. After 3 days in a row of using them, his muscles came back online, and worked great!Every now and then we use them, and always keep them in the house! We have also tried Gillhams Calm (worked great with 3000 mg of vit C powder), and another whole day of carrots, grapes, raisins, peas and apple. Once the body remembers, your daughter will be much more comfortable. Hope this helps, Susi
Guest guest
Thanks for that Susi Do you get the suppositories via the DAN, your regular doc or over the counter? Think we'll give them a go as her tummy is quite hard at the moment and she is scared to go as she knows it will hurt. Also her mood has been very up and down today which is a sure sign that it's bothering her. Do you know which enzymes cause constipation? she's on AFP peptizyde and TriEnza which are given in a fromage frais at lunch and tea and mixed with EyeQ Smooth in the morning. What supplements etc does your son have? > > Hi, > Herre is what our DAN! doc told us in regards to my sons bm's. He would go up to 7 days without one! We use the lowest dose - the infant size, because my son weighs nothing, and they work!Yes, my son also is scared to go sometimes, they really bolster confidence once your child sees how easy it is. We also noticed that after he went, his mood changed dramatically and he was much happier! I think it's Zyme Prime that causes firmer stools, and it's in Trienza. My son is on CLO,Probiotics,Valtrex (a huge blessing!), mB12 shots (again, another huge blessing!),5 HTP,Acetyl L Carnitine,Diflucan and enzymes as needed. I wish you the best with this, Susi
Guest guest
> Does anyone have any suggestions to aleviate constipation? Ideas here. http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm The most common causes are magnesium deficiency, vitamin C deficiency, and yeast overgrowth. > My daughter is on a dairy free diet, takes EyeQ fish oils, has a probiotic, digestive enzymes and I've tried magnesium - none of which seem to be having the desired affect on her bowels. Fish oil was HIGHLY constipating at my house until I gave it with mito cocktail and LOTS of magnesium [more than 1000mg per day]. >>It's so frustrating and I feel completely useless in knowing what else to do, I've been feeding her raisins and grapes and orange juice but none of it seems to keep her regular. All of the foods above, tend to increase yeast. Try increasing the yeast protocol, probiotics alone is generally not sufficient for most kids. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply Dana I live in the UK and am following the lead of other parents at the moment with regards what I give my daughter. I don't currently give anything for yeast overgrowth as I don't know for sure if it's an issue - are there any other symptoms? she doesn't get thrush or anything like that. I was sent some Candex samples but haven't tried them as yet - have you heard of that product? > > Does anyone have any suggestions to aleviate constipation? > > > Ideas here. > > http://www.danasview.net/constip.htm > > The most common causes are magnesium deficiency, vitamin C deficiency, and yeast overgrowth. Guest guest
My son had this problem now we give him Mirolax in the morning in a cup of water. It helps a lot. You may have to experiment with the dose to find out what works for you... Good luck.. Bruce
