Guest guest
Do you have her on enzymes and a good probiotics? I think those are a must for starters. Tammy How do you cure leaky gut if there's no yeast? Hi, I have a high func kid that I'm doing DAN! with, but also a PANDAS kid that isn't on the spectrum and was nt before pandas. My problem is that my nt kid has 25 food sensitivities according to Alletess. We have removed everything, including those offenders close to being a " 1 " and are trying to heal her gut.We found that even those foods close to being flagged were making her tics worse. She is on a myriad of supplements. We are starting Valtrex next month in hopes that something viral will die off. She tried 2 weeks of diflucan - but no die off or healing. I now have her on 500mcg of biotin a day.I would welcome any suiggestions to heal her tummy, as she is running out of food to eat. She is 10, and weighs 80 lbs.I thought I had it down with my spectrum son, but she has me stumped! Thanks, Susi
Guest guest
It sounds like she has gut dysbiosis, with maybe more of a bacterial thing going on then yeast, but she could still have yeast. Diflucan doesn't always work on yeast. I second the suggestion of adding in enzymes and probiotic, but I would also suggest looking into either the SCD or GAPS diets. These diets (especially GAPS) can heal the gut and heal allergies and sensitivities. -Sierra > > Hi, > > I have a high func kid that I'm doing DAN! with, but also a PANDAS kid that isn't on the spectrum and was nt before pandas. My problem is that my nt kid has 25 food sensitivities according to Alletess. PANDAS is a strep-related condition. I eliminated strep with OLE. > We have removed everything, including those offenders close to being a " 1 " and are trying to heal her gut.We found that even those foods close to being flagged were making her tics worse. She is on a myriad of supplements. We are starting Valtrex next month in hopes that something viral will die off. My son tolerated no foods. I used digestive enzymes, then worked on healing his gut. ALA chelation, biotin, enzymes, and several supplements were required to heal the gut. Today, my son can eat everything. Tics, at my house, were usually related to yeast overgrowth. I used natural anti-virals, not Valtrex. Anti-virals were very important for my son. Viral die off does tend to cause a LOT of yeast, so watch for that. > She tried 2 weeks of diflucan - but no die off or healing. I now have her on 500mcg of biotin a day. That is a whopping dose of biotin! Do you mean 500mcg, which is a very minimal dose? Dana
Guest guest
Dana - yes, 500mcg(micrograms), which I thought was a small dose - how did you dose it? She is reactive to olives - does this mean OLE is out?Maybe Virastop? > > That is a whopping dose of biotin! Guest guest
> > Dana - yes, 500mcg(micrograms), which I thought was a small dose - how did you dose it? I started with 400mcg and worked up from there. The highest dose I gave was 20mg 3x per day. It does require magnesium for proper absorption. >>She is reactive to olives - does this mean OLE is out? Maybe, maybe not. >>Maybe Virastop? Depends on why you want to use the OLE. Virastop can do some of the same things as OLE, but not all.
