Guest guest
I am not sure about yeast directly causing seizures. We never pursued it with a doctor but we sucspect that our son was having some sort of seizures right before we started GFCF and then SCD diets. Maybe the yeast can cause leaky gut and bad digestion and yeast chemicals and undigested proteins and lectins can get in the bloodstream and then in the brain causing an immune response and inflammation in the brain that can lead to neuro symptoms and seizures. So I would say if you suspect she has yeast that you could recommend trying the GFCF diet and the SCD diet to help control yeast and avoid foods that have risky proteins and lectins until the gut is better. I would say impossible but I thought I would ask. My stepdaughter is 9 and is/was " NT " until she had a few seizures here and there. The seizures themselves weren't the really bad kind. She was diagnosed with childhood epilepsy and was told it should subside on its own. Dealing with my son's yeast issues I know now all the signs of yeast overgrowth and my stepdaughter has had all the signs for quite some time. So, thought I'd ask. Thanks in advance! Guest guest
> > Does anyone know if yeast overgrowth can cause seizures? Both my son and I have had yeast in the brain, and it caused us a lot of problems, altho not seizures. However, based on the symptoms it caused for both of us, I would not be surprised if in some kids it did cause seizures. Dana

Whats the yeasty brain protocol? I used biotin and GSE, same as I used for yeast anywhere else in the body. Recently I have been using biotin and ACV for myself, which also works well for yeast.
