Pushing on the eyeballs is a sign of calcium deficiency. Rubbing the eyes, especially the corners of the eyes, can mean yeast overgrowth. > While he has been GF/CF for 7 years, for the last six months he has had raw milk cheese and Ezkiel Bread. Is the calcium in the cheese hurting him? He also is on several enzymes - maybe he needs more? Are you giving those milk products with an appropriate enzyme? That might help. Guest guest
Eye pain is also a common sign of oxalate problems. This is somehow related to calcium, not exactly sure how. I would try cutting out any high oxalate foods for awhile and see if the helps. You could also cut out the bread and milk and see if that helps. -Sierra > > Little guy is rubbing both eyes and putting my hand on his eyes. Guest guest
Could it be seasonal allergies? My son has been have major reactions to the pollen this year and his eyes are definitely affected. > > Little guy is rubbing both eyes and putting my hand on his eyes. So, in this case, I think it was the allergies. The extra enzymes, high oxlates/calcium thing were my first thoughts too. That is why this list is so extremly helpful! There are definitely several answers to this issue and this time it was allergies - but next time it could be one of the other issues. I don't know what I would do without all of you to think things through to a tangible successful result for my child has no words to tell me what is wrong. THANK YOU!!
