Guest guest Posted November 22, 2008 Report Share Posted November 22, 2008 Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for enzyme for carbs. My 17 month old son was on SCD for 2 months. I started him on Zyme Prime and No Fenol and we saw huge improvements in so many areas. But, as soon as I started giving him complex carbs (grains), his improvement has completely stopped. I'm introducing AFP Peptyize very slowly. But, no improvements... Obviously, he is not doing well with carbs. But, I'm reluctant to go back to SCD, yet. He has a huge appetite and can tolerate only limited foods that are SCD legal. On SCD, he was eating huge amount of carrots (I had to cook a bag of 5lbs carrots every day). Carrots were the only food that he was able to eat in a large amount to satisfy his appetire. We became so uncomfortable with the unbalanced diet for such a young age. I'm hoping I could keep giving him grains with a help of some enzyme in addition to Zyme Prime, No Fenol, and AFP. He loves grains. He even signs " Yummy " when he eats grains.
